Communications & Marketing
Specifically focused on sourcing stories of success and good news throughout Elizabeth Seton Children's for digital and social media to create an engaging and consistent presence on all relevant platforms/outlets. Schedules a social media content calendar that details at least three months out

Job Functions
This is a supervisory level position and the Maintenance Superintendent shall carry out all assigned duties autonomously unless otherwise directed by the VP of Facilities and Engineering. On a day-to-day basis, the Maintenance Superintendent shall work cooperatively with the Executive Program Director, Medical Director, and other Department Heads, and carry out all work requests essential to satisfy the needs and functions of the campus and programs consistent with the job responsibilities listed below. Other duties may be assigned to this position as needed if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.
Position Functions and Responsibilities
Perform minor repairs and light general maintenance of the buildings: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and architectural systems. This work includes using small power and hand tools. Ladder use and occasionally some painting may be required.
Set HVAC fan schedules, monitor and adjust space temperature in heating and cooling modes as needed to maintain a comfortable environment for all occupants. The Maintenance Superintendent loads an application on his cell phone that remotely monitors space temperature and makes remote and local thermostat setpoint adjustments as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on building and various plant equipment. This includes general equipment maintenance and life safety code inspections.

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, this position provides day to day oversight and maintenance of the staff, physical plant, building, and grounds. The Associate Director of Engineering is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the building's physical plant and related systems within parameters established by the VP of Facilities and Property and the Director of Engineering. Building systems included in the scope of this position are: HVAC and Controls/BMS, plumbing, electrical, emergency power, life safety, medical O2, medical air, medical vacuum systems, roofs and architectural systems, and grounds. This position supervises, directs, trains, and evaluates non-exempt staff, and oversees outside contract staff. Manage special projects for the facility.
Completes property inspections on a monthly basis, both interior and exterior.
Drafts material and replacement parts lists and other reports useful to Management. Exercises purchasing authority within constraints set by ESCC and Department policy.
Ensures that shops, machine rooms, storage rooms, roofs, and grounds are maintained in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
Maintains records as directed.
Oversees staff in the completion of all paperwork in a timely fashion.
Advises on preventative maintenance standards, schedules, and process improvements.

Confer with physician or other health team members regarding patient care management.
Assist the physician in performing physical examinations and treatments.
Evaluate the effects of prescribed treatment including orthotics and report same to appropriate disciplines.
Observe, report and record abnormal vital signs, seizures activity, other disease manifestations and other clinically significant data.
Implement plan of care as outlines in the resident's Interdisciplinary Care Plan including positioning, play, feeding techniques, behavior modifications plan etc.
Participate in completing MDS. Revised care plan as resident condition changes.
Assumes the role of nurse in charge of a unit for the shift as assigned
Educate residents and families with regard to their treatment plan
Document interventions and teaching outcomes accurately and timely
Maintain a safe therapeutic resident care environment.
Directs and supervises CNAs, unit a clerk, LPN and other RN's when in charge.
Establishes effective working relations with staff residents and family members.
Ensures that the Center and the Department of Nursing policies and procedures are follow in the planning implementation and evaluation of care.
Review medication administration records for completeness at end of shift.
Give and receives the nursing report and follow through on any special instructions.
When in charge makes periodic checks to ensure that prescribed treatments are being properly administered by LPN's and CNAs and to evaluate the residents physical and emotional status.
Participates in the orientation of new staff residents and families to the unit.
Carries out restorative and rehabilitative programs including teaching resident to wash/feed/dress self as appropriate.
Ensures that the facility policy on the use of restraints is followed and that documentation is timely and accurate.
Ensure that the unit is kept clean free from clutter and that the supply room door is kept locked; request the supervisor's intervention as necessary to achieve this.
Follows infection control standards and ensures that assigned personnel do likewise.
Keep abreast of new nursing policies and procedures.
Keep nurses notes, plan of care and all other documentation pertaining to your assigned resident timely accurate and complete.
Carries out end of shift responsibility e.g. supplies are available for next shift'. Unit is clean and tidy; all documentation is complete and accurate.
Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or administrator.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited RN program.
New York State RN License Required
New York State RN Registration Certificate Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing preferred
Current BCLS certification
Experience
One (1) year clinical experience in a pediatric and/or adolescent chronic /rehabilitative care facility preferred.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Qualifications
