This position plays a key role in supporting academic integrity by overseeing testing sessions for students across the GBC service area. In addition to in-person exam proctoring, the candidate must be willing to proctor on-site at the Elko campus using Zoom.
This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a calm and professional demeanor, and a strong comfort level with technology and troubleshooting on multiple software platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to a secure, supportive testing environment for students and uphold institutional testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and monitor a variety of exams, including placement tests, makeup exams, third-party certifications, and other institutional assessments.
* Proctor exams in person at the Elko campus and virtually via Zoom for students across GBC's statewide service area.
* Ensure the integrity of the testing environment by following established guidelines and procedures.
* Verify student identities, explain exam rules, and ensure proper test accommodations are provided.

Applicants should have a current NV RN license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

American Heart Association Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30-days of hire

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certificate (FMC) within 6 months of hire

How you'll contribute
A Surgical Technician/Scrub Tech who excels in this role:
Assists surgical team during the surgical procedure(s). Understands the procedures being performed and can anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies during procedure. Transports to decontamination room upon completion of the surgical procedure.
Prepares and maintains equipment and surgical instruments in the OR suite and ensures their proper set-up. Responsible for all instruments, maintaining them in good working order, and assuring the availability of needed instruments to do all surgical cases.
Maintains sterile field and counts all instruments, sponges, needles etc. needed for each case. Has necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
Cleans, assembles, and prepares instruments, equipment, and supplies for sterilization when needed. Follows proper sterilization processes. Participates in testing and recording of all Biotesting for the sterilizers and autoclaves in the department as needed.
