Responsibilities
What makes this role interesting, is that you have the opportunity to be in different facilities with different projects and challenges each day. There is some travel required, however we expected to be in the local area with minimal nights away during the week; no weekends)
Responsible for day to day fieldservice. Including but not limited to: service, installations and/or preventive maintenance relative to the local market.
Essential Duties include:
Perform fieldservice, installations or PMs as required.
Resolve customer issues and provide sales support and some training
Communicate effectively with a variety of different people
Represent Ellison Technologies professionally and ethically at all times, with all actions in line with business expectations.
Take ownership of all service cases, projects, etc., and maintain all customer records and technical documentation.
Other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Crane ServiceTechnician - Level 2 to join our team. This position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are ready to take on more complex service tasks. You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including advanced troubleshooting and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of overhead cranes and hoists per OEM manuals and OSHA standards.
Work on 3-motion cranes with VFDs (no encoder) or contactors, including 5-speed pendants or remotes.
Service and troubleshoot uncommon brake systems such as Whiting SESA and Magnetek thruster brakes.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of AC control circuit principles including Ohm's Law and voltage drop.
Troubleshoot and repair contactor motor control systems.
Rig up and install new crane equipment with proper safety and mechanical procedures.
Explain repair plans, troubleshooting processes, and required parts to customers clearly and professionally.
Properly diagnose mechanical components including wheels, bearings, and reducers.
Identify and understand crane control components in hoist and bridge panels.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in crane service or industrial maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools and safe practices.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments.
Technical training or certifications in industrial maintenance or electrical systems.
Experience with crane installations and rigging.
Customer service experience in a technical field.

Summary

Qualifications of the FieldServiceTechnician include, but are not limited to:
3-5 years pump experience
Experience with rotating equipment repair
Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
Must be willing to work off-site as well as the shop
Experience with vibration and alignment tools
Must have your own hand tools
Must have good communication skills, professional appearance and technical aptitude
Responsible to complete all tasks from installation, startup, scheduled maintenance, functional & performance testing, training, project closeout, and warranty transition
Check all equipment after installation and prior to start-up of pumps and associated equipment within the allotted time and in a professional manner

A Field Engineering Technician I at ICON is an entry-level role where the technician demonstrates and maintains the minimum required proficiencies and understanding of the tasks necessary to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain ICON's 3D printers safely and efficiently. They regularly receive general instructions on daily assignments from Leads, Senior Technicians or Engineers and apply their skills to complete a wide range of tasks in the field. They work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring some judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations while escalating larger problems. They are expected to approach tasks with a growth mindset, work towards accruing new skills, and avoid repeating mistakes. Operational discipline and adherence to ICON's policies and standards are critical in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and network cabling to support printer mobility and setup.
Respond to work orders and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues with guidance from senior technicians and engineers as needed.
Accurately document work performed and update work orders in the tracking system to maintain clear records.
Collaborate with Print Operators to maintain printer uptime and assist in identifying the root cause of technical problems.
Escalate complex problems to senior team members while continuing to contribute towards the resolution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (1+ years of hands-on experience), OR 2+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant field (mechanical, electrical, or similar).
Basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Certifications: OSHA 10, CPR, and Lockout/Tagout (all provided by ICON).
Ability to follow basic instructions and complete tasks under supervision.
Hands-on experience replacing equipment components.
High Level: Can look at a piece of equipment and replace it (Ex: rotor stator). Can be given basic directions,follow them and communicate completed work."
Ability to prioritize, adapt, and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in varying outdoor conditions (extreme heat, cold, sun, rain, etc.).
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
