Job Summary:
The Technical Support Analyst works with internal employees as well as external customers to provide hardware and software support for a wide range of technology challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Desktop support-desk-side and remote phone support.
Provide 1st and 2nd level help desk support for end users and application support.
Assists with installations and workstation deployment.
Updates all workstations that are connected to the network.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and rebuild workstations.
Monitor for viruses for operating system and network device updates.
Monitor backup procedures and processes, conduct data restores when required.
Support multiple branches throughout the company.
Some travel to remote offices or external customer sites as needed.
Provide detailed and comprehensive documentation in a problem-tracking database to ensure proper escalation of incidents.
Use remote access tools to perform diagnostics on users' PCs.
Other Duties:
Communicate with other members of the IT department regarding various issues and projects concerning the networking and computer access of the company.
After-hours on-call rotation.
Submit periodic reports to management as requested.
Update and monitor Windows Server environment as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 4 years of experience working in technical support
3 years of experience in a help desk and IT environment
1 year of experience in computer project management, backup systems, and configurations
1 year of proficiency in Windows, Office 365, TCP/IP protocol, third-party applications, telecommunication capabilities and connectivity knowledge, and various hardware and printers
Must be able to work after hours and weekends when required to support projects and able travel to remote offices as needed
Broad knowledge of desktop applications, and familiarity with PC configuration using automation tools and LAN troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Overview:

Job Summary
Unit 42's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service is growing fast - and we're building a customer-centric team that blends technical expertise with direct customer engagement. Salary Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. Essential Functions
Anticipation and Support for New Large-Scale Awards
Collaborates with Principal Investigators (PIs), research administrators, and support staff to prepare for the financial and administrative demands of newly awarded, large-scale research projects.
Provides preemptive guidance on budgeting, financial planning, and procurement strategies to ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor guidelines.
Acts as a liaison between the VCRE office and campus stakeholders to facilitate efficient set-up and early-stage management of major awards.
Develops forecasting tools and resource allocation plans to anticipate financial needs and potential challenges for large-scale research projects.
Incident Management and Resolution

Fundraising and Grant Development Support (50%):
Write and edit letters of intent, proposals, and reports for funders.
Monitor new and relevant development opportunities, and programs in foundation, philanthropic, federal, state, and municipal funding for renewable energy fields that inform our work.
Develop templates for proposals and reports to ensure efficiency and consistency in grant submissions.
Work with the development team to research and identify prospective funders for multiple program areas and for unrestricted funding.
Conduct topical research related to new programs under development, and summarize findings for inclusion in proposals or strategic planning.
Collaborate across teams to support grant development and related organizational initiatives as needed.
Explaining and referencing nuanced renewable energy topics in proposals and reports, such as Distributed Power Plants, solar siting, net metering, rural electric cooperatives, and more to illustrate SUN's value and impact.
Assist in preparing financial reports and invoices for grants.
Support and manage funder relationships by tracking and maintaining consistent positive communications with funders; set up, prepare for, and attend meetings with funders, and support relationship management in other ways as directed by the Development team.
Development Administration Support

Maintain accurate, well-organized files and records of all grants ensuring compliance with reporting and contractual requirements.
Maintain systems and processes related to application tracking, charitable contribution intaking, and contact relationships.
Monitor and audit development data health within Salesforce, EveryAction, Dropbox, and our other platforms as it pertains to grant revenue and other opportunities.
Maintain up-to-date tracking of funding awards, deadlines, and contacts in Salesforce and Dropbox to support grant management and reporting.
Respond to staff requests for development-related materials.

Performs related duties as assigned or required to meet Department, Executive Area/Division, and University goals and objectives.
Provides consulting and training to other campus staff on matters related to infrastructure management and monitoring.
Participates in architectural review.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
Bachelor's degree in an IT related field with 4 years' experience working in large networks, with the ability to solve complex network and systems problems.
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with DHCP and DNS servers, BIND, WINS, AD, NAT and IP address management solutions, such as Infoblox.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills to plan, recommend, implement and monitor effective and efficient processes and to identify problems and implement solutions.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with SNMP, WMI, and system monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds and Nagios, including systems administration, and troubleshooting with network packet analyzers or port sniffers such as Wireshark.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills to plan, recommend, implement and monitor effective and efficient processes and to identify problems and implement solutions.
Ability to create diagrams and document complex technical configurations and issues in writing, and relay technical information in writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills and communications skills, and ability to work in a team-based environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
Experience with scripting technologies such as PowerShell, Perl, Bash, and Python.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.
This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the Professional Staff Union, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the Professional Staff Union collective bargaining agreement.
Required to work some nights and some weekends as business needs dictate.
Participate in off-hours on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:
Understands and applies the terms of clients contracts
Notate and pursue successful resolution of defaults
Contact business owners by phone and email to resolve delinquency issues
Communicate and build trust to overcome objections and resolve the debt
Advise business owners of potential actions surrounding defaults
Ensure compliance with all laws associated with recovery
Meet daily call expectations of 100+ with accounts worked
Call debtors to secure payments on past-due accounts
Knowledge of skip tracing and asset searches preferred
Successfully manages a queue of 200+
Must have the ability to exceed daily, weekly, and monthly expectations consistently
Must follow established policies & procedures
Must take direction well and be self-motivated
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.)
2 years of collection experience preferred
Excellent telephone and customer service skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
