    The Watercraft Inspector position serves to inform and educate the public to the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species (AIS) to Minnesota's waters. Inspectors will undergo training of MN DNR protocols and perform thorough inspections on all entering or exiting watercraft at multiple lakes throughout Ramsey County. Inspectors will work at public water access sites educating the public by providing information to watercraft users and conducting a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species. Part Time Positions: Mid-May through September Locations: Lake Sarah, two Public Water Access Lake Shetek, four Public Water Accesses Bloody Lake Boat Access Current Lake West Access Fulda First and Second Lake Big Slough Must be available weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Holidays Weekends as needed Weekends only This is a great job for students, teachers and ages 55+! Duties: Educate the public on the AIS program and current issues. Distribute literature/pamphlets. Inspection of watercraft for invasive species (inbound and outbound). Conduct verbal surveys.
