We are looking to expand our embedded team with an innovative engineer seeking to do projects that have never been done before using a growing skill set. You will design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production. You will interface hardware design and development. Contributing to the architecture, designs, software implementations based on those designs, documentation, and upkeep of intricate, embedded, networked real-time analytical instrumentation systems will be the Principle Embedded Engineer responsibility.This person should have experience dealing with instrumentation and controls, good core skills in object-oriented programming, a foundation in automation through scripting, and a background in C/C++.

The ideal Principle Embedded Engineer will have extensive experience working in organized software development environments and be highly driven and self-disciplined. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are advantages.They should be someone who is familiar with the idea of dealing with hardware, disc drive, successful networking environments, robots, and caliper. Additionally, those that produce robotics are aware of the tight technique used by iRobot and other manufacturers of similar technology.

The Principle Embedded Engineer should have:

+ A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or an equivalent mix of training and applicable job experience.

+ 8+ years of experience as a software developer in this technological sector.

+ The applicant should be capable of managing themselves independently and with a focus on results.

+ The applicant must be able to handle C/C++ language-based software design, architecture, and implementation responsibilities.

+ Effective writing and verbal communication abilities.

+ Knowledge of proper laboratory practices for testing, test data collecting, documentation, and presentation, as well as the interpretation of wiring diagrams and schematics, is also preferred. The usage of electronic test instruments like oscilloscopes and familiarity with MathWorks MatLab and Simulink are some other desirable qualities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field coupled with 1+ year experience or equivalent work experience.
• Software engineering experience gained from work experience, academic projects, internship experience or independent hacking projects.
• Strong programming skills; C++, C#, Java, and/or object-oriented programming.
• Embedded Linux experience a plus
• Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies.
