    JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job): Control Panel Assemblers build high value proprietary products as indicated by the build book. Assemblers follow drawings and use experience to interpret plans. Must be precise and accurate in completing electrical requirements of the product. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following: Build electrical assemblies/projects on one or more product lines. Uses common electrical assembly tools and related functions in an efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to: wire cutters, tube benders, conduit benders, etc. Assembles and troubleshoots knockout boxes, panels, wiring harnesses and wire terminations. Employs proper electrical safety techniques. Applies wiring methods and materials to form conduits. Demonstrates ability to read blueprints or schematics. Labels wiring to make trouble shooting possible during assembly and for the customer. Ability to properly read measuring equipment to verify part or assembly quality. Use of electrical test equipment, including but not limited to: voltmeters, multimeters, etc. Demonstrates familiarity with IFS and shop order structure/build sequences. Checks and troubleshoots each electrical set-up to prep machine for customer buy-off. Always applies lock-out tag-out procedures. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge and experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. And 1-3 years of hands-on industry experience. Electrical aptitude and experience. Some formal training as an electrician is required. Attention to detail is necessary. Ability to work in a team environment, which includes communicating effectively with team members and support staff, being self-motivated, accepting responsibility for one's own work, and actively participating as a team member in a proactive manner. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment: Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends. Physical demands vary. 50 lb. limit on lifting without forklift or assistance. Must wear a harness if climbing >6' off shop floor. Must operate in a safe, responsible manner, which respects the environment and the health of Stolle employees, customers, and the communities in which Stolle operates. Scope of Responsibility: Under the direct of the production supervision and Lead, the Longseam Welder uses specified welding processes and procedures to achieve 100% penetration welds for specified lengths of each shafts seam within prescribed codes, and according to prescribed procedures, specifications, and drawings. Essential Duties: * Performs visual inspection of the entire length of each seam to identify areas requiring repair. * Reads and interprets drawings and/or computer print out "flatsheets" to determine requirement for 100% penetration welds. * Grinds and/or air-arc gouges areas as necessary in preparation for welding. * Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. * Using specified welding process (FCAW, GMAW, and/or SAW,) welds required areas to obtain 100% penetration. * Reads and interprets applicable specifications and welding codes and procedures to determine preheat requirements. Uses oxy-fuel heating torch to preheat work specified temperature. Uses instruments provided to measure temperature of the material. * Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules. Writes entries on daily production log to show work completed. * Uses overhead crane to position work in pole-rollers and to move completed poles to designated areas. * Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions. * Visually inspects his/her work to assure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, and codes. * Assists and instructs other welders when needed to overcome deficiencies in quality and/or productivity. * Wears protective equipment including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves, and/or cape, face shield, and welding hood to protect himself from hot metal, arc rays, grinding debris, and other potentially harmful conditions. * Inspects end of poles for straightness and squareness of edge cuts. Trims and/or grinds as necessary, in order to leave ends suitable for shipment to customer, or for fit up base plates. * Uses power drills to drill and/or ream holes in pole sections as required by drawings. * Welds other products in his or her area using either FCAW or GMAW process. * Assembles two piece developments. * Determines amperage and voltage settings, feed rate settings, required weld procedures, weld size and amount of penetration required. * Grinds and/or cleans seams to ensure the required penetration and necessary UT quality weld. * Performs daily, weekly, monthly operator preventive maintenance on seam weld machine. * Adjust amperage, voltage, speed rates, and machine pressures constantly throughout the welding process to compensate for variations from the cutting and bending operations and the material variations. * Additional duties as assigned Position Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred * Must have knowledge of basic shop mathematics, addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication and decimals. * Proficiency in reading complex prints and specifications. * Must know how to properly use a weld gauge. * Read and write. * Regular and timely attendance is required Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials. * Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends. * Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual. * Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures. * Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.     SUMMARY: Individuals in this position are responsible for the assembly and wiring of control panels and relays for industrial equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fabricate panels according to electrical schematics. Layout and physically mount components on subpanels, wire components and install subpanels in and/or on the enclosure as required. Meet daily production goals and deadlines. Prepare subpanels for drilling and tapping of hardware. Cut and modify enclosures using hand and power tools (e.g., jigsaw, hole punch, file). Mount components to back panels and enclosures accurately. Route and bundle wires and cables neatly, ensuring compliance with wiring standards. Perform point-to-point wiring of relays, power supplies, PLCs, I/O modules, VFDs, and other instrumentation as specified in schematics. Troubleshoot panels to resolve wiring errors or component malfunctions. Maintain red-line drawings to document required changes during fabrication. Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, builders, engineers, and management. Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail; work overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to pass a pre-employment math and measurement test. Proficiency with measuring equipment and ability to read mechanical drawings with minimal assistance, interpret dimensional tolerances, and measure accurately to 1/16”. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring practices, and component identification. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Effective communication and teamwork skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years' experience in mechanical equipment assembly preferred. Education in Industrial Electricity or Controls preferred (apprenticeship, degree, or military training). LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and write English effectively. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and percentages. Ability to perform conversions (e.g., watts to kilowatts). Ability to calculate loads and airflow in CFM. COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic keyboarding skills, including printing documents PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
