We are seeking a commercial estimating professional for the mechanical industries. The ideal candidate must be capable of assembling an accurate estimate and a corresponding detailed proposal for the customer with minimal oversight. With our geographic footprint expanding, this position could be based in any of our locations and /or a remote based position.
**Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Be able to accurately identify, quantify and record piping and equipment associated with the various mechanical systems
+ Review all bid documents and seek clarifications during the bid process to ensure an accurate bid is assembled
+ Budgeting, unit pricing, pipe sizing, general code compliance and an understanding of general layout of Plumbing, Piping and HVAC Duct Systems
+ Concurrently bid/manage multiple projects. Create a detailed estimate with appropriate material, labor & subcontractor selections; alternates and unit pricing when required; and corresponding proposal to identify the bidder's work scope
+ Survey potential projects and identify best solutions for pricing
+ Evaluation of vendor and subcontractor proposal to ensure compliance with the job requirements and specifications
+ Estimating HVAC and plumbing projects and change orders to comply with corporate profit guidelines and project requirements
+ Provide conceptual design and pricing to support conceptual design for both HVAC and plumbing
+ Complete system take-offs in accordance with current B&K processes.
+ Consider and evaluate potential value engineering options and costs with the B&K team
+ Develop project general conditions and other estimate scope summaries, schedules and/or other tools and deliverables as necessary
+ Participate when necessary in bid finalization and review

**SUMMARY**
CRT is currently hiring an experienced Low Voltage System Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating contract work, interpreting construction documents, and predicting project costs. The individual will be responsible for representing the company in many aspects. This position works closely with Owners, Construction and Project Managers.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

This role is part of the Global Site Projects estimating team deployed to support the GoA and T&T region. They will be responsible for all aspects of project estimating for mainly offshore assets typically up to $100 million. This will include but not limited to; developing internal conceptual and / or detailed estimates using bp tools and techniques, providing estimate assurance and conditioning on third party estimates, and cost benchmarking.
Cost estimate development includes developing estimate plans and basis, cost estimate summaries, and identifies and addresses cost estimate uncertainty and risk using probabilistic and deterministic methods. The estimator reviews contractor developed estimates to ensure the estimate is aligned to bp methodology and reflects the appropriate classification for the stage. This role will support various benchmarking activities such as data capture, validating estimates using cost metrics, and supporting project benchmarking reviews.
The estimator will report to the US Estimating Lead for process and development and will be deployed to the GoA and T&T Project Controls Manager to direct day to day activities.
Key Accountabilities:
Estimating
Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), Conceptual, and Detail estimates based upon project plans and schedules to the site project (and turnaround teams).
Prepare and maintain Basis of Estimate (BOE) for each project.
Support Business Development / Portfolio Management Team (e.g., early screening estimates)
Support and validate Change Management requests
Establish craft labour rates and productivity and location factors, for estimating purposes
Governance
Provide estimating assurance to total project cost estimates along with auditing contractor and engineering estimates to ensure appropriate cost target setting
Provide estimating support and assurance to TARs and Outages
Ability to support / facilitate Monte Carlo type cost risk assessments to support target setting and project approvals and communicating the results
Process
Maintain compliance with bp published guidelines and common processes as it relates to estimating
Develop & maintain site estimating tools, templates, procedures, and guidelines
Support team with stage gated process and deliverables
Work with Project Team resources to complete all closeout requirements, including lessons learned exercises
Direct third-party estimating resources working on behalf of bp
Provide project estimating training to non-practitioners
Provide coaching and mentoring to other estimators
Support Site Projects improvement work-streams including: building and developing capability; standardising and embedding our processes; modernizing our systems; and driving performance
Benchmarking
Maintain and utilize historical cost database and apply learnings for improved project performance
Assess performance threats and opportunities against both internal and external benchmarks
Support Internal and External Benchmarking Exercises with a third-party company
Essential Education/Experience:
Bachelor's / University degree in an engineering, finance, or business discipline or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of offshore project cost estimating methodologies and techniques within the oil and gas sector, from project concept through to project execution
Demonstrated strong organization, teamwork, and communication skills
Familiarity of all project controls disciplines
Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) is welcome

Job Summary:
AES Clean Energy is currently seeking a Project Estimator to manage budgets and economical evaluations required for Solar PV and Energy Storage during project development supporting bid process and construction supporting purchases needed for execution and change order negotiations. Job Summary:
AES Clean Energy is currently seeking a Project Estimator to manage budgets and economical evaluations required for Solar PV and Energy Storage during project development supporting bid process and construction supporting purchases needed for execution and change order negotiations. The candidate will coordinate cost assessments, collaborate in contract negotiations, supply chain and logistics, cost improvement and creation of database for preconstruction and bidding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* In collaboration with the procurement team, prioritize and formalize relationships with solar PV equipment vendors and service contractors. Establish preferred pricing and terms for AES.

Skills and Qualifications:

About This Role
Join Crusoe as a Staff Estimator and play a vital role in driving sales growth by acting as the critical link between the customer request and the final manufacturing proposal. You will be responsible for meticulously estimating project costs, ensuring quotation accuracy, and managing the seamless handoff to internal engineering and production teams. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge in electrical manufacturing, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. Your work directly ensures the competitive pricing and profitability of our custom projects. This is a full-time position.
What You'll Be Working On
* Technical Document Review: Review customer-provided specifications, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to confirm completeness and technical accuracy.
* Customer & Sales Liaison: Interface directly with the customer and their consultants to clarify unknowns or gather any additional information required to produce an accurate bid.
* Scope of Work Development: Generate detailed, formal written "Scope of Work" documents defining all services to be performed for the project.
* Meticulous attention to detail and documentation - Align on requirements and exclusion with excruciating detail and document accordingly prior to start of hard bid process.
* Historical Analysis: Review past projects, where applicable, to inform current costing and leverage historical data.
* Costing and Pricing: Collaborate with in-house engineering and customer representatives to compile the Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project and secure current vendor pricing and availability for all components.
* Labor and Engineering Calculation: Calculate estimated labor hours for fabrication, paint, assembly, and wiring, including the required engineering time.
* Quotation Generation: Generate the formal customer quotation and collaborate with the Sales Team to review the proposal and determine appropriate markups and pricing strategy.
* Documentation and process optimization: Maintain proper documentation related to each Request for Quote (RFQ) in the appropriate electronic job files. Continually look for process improvements in the estimating department.
* Business Collaboration: Collaborate Sr. Manager and Director level management to provide input to strategic revenue goals.
* Engineering collaboration: Collaborate with application and design engineers to ensure specifications are properly quoted and drive to clarify all grey areas of scope.
* Lead by example: Set a standard for others to follow in a growing estimating department.
What You'll Bring to the Team
* Technical Knowledge (Required): Strong, required knowledge of production of electrical enclosures, switchboards and switchgear to accurately scope and cost projects. Knowledge of modular electrical buildings (e-houses / PDCs) is a plus.
* Experience: 5-8 years of experience estimating, costing, and sales is preferred.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
* Software Proficiency: Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, with Infor Visual or Acumatica experience being a plus.
* Work Ethic: Must be a collaborative team player with a good attitude and willingness to learn, who is willing to take on additional roles as needed.
* Compliance: Willingness to undergo a background and drug test.

* Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, with Acumatica experience being a significant plus.
* Familiarity with interpreting ISO requirements as they relate to job documentation.

About the Role:
As part of our continued expansion, we're hiring a Senior Construction Cost Estimator to drive cost modeling and financial accuracy across our capital projects. This role plays a critical function in delivering predictable outcomes by pairing detailed cost estimation with proactive cash flow forecasting to support Crusoe's global growth.
What You'll Be Working On:
Lead end-to-end estimating efforts for data center builds-from early-stage planning through construction execution
Develop robust cost models that align with design intent, scope evolution, and delivery strategies Collaborate with design, procurement, and delivery teams to validate quantity take-offs and unit pricing
Build and maintain project cash flow forecasts to support financial planning, budget tracking, and funding requests
Provide detailed estimates for CSA, MEP, and mission-critical systems for domestic and international builds
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals against internal benchmarks and historical data
Analyze variances and model cost impacts due to design changes, procurement risks, or schedule shifts
Partner with finance, real estate, and development teams to inform business cases and funding strategy
Deliver concise cost reports, dashboards, and executive summaries with clear insights and recommendations
Establish scalable tools and repeatable processes to support Crusoe's infrastructure pipeline
Maintain historical cost databases and continuously refine models based on actuals and market trends
Contribute to site feasibility assessments and preconstruction planning with data-backed insights

What You'll Bring to the Team:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
10+ years of experience in construction cost estimating for complex infrastructure projects
Strong experience in cost modeling, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting
Deep technical knowledge of MEP, CSA, and mission-critical systems
Expertise with estimating software such as CostX, Sage Estimating, or equivalent
Ability to translate technical and financial inputs into actionable reporting
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to both technical and executive stakeholders

Prints, reviews, assembles, and compiles estimates and prepares designated portions of budgets as directed by senior personnel.

Minimum requirements:
