**SUMMARY**
The Director of Safety will be accountable for creating a safe, accident-free, healthy work environment and will facilitate and support the companies Safety program.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Develop and Maintain the company's current Environmental, Health and Safety policies and implement new risk control measures as needed
+ Independently develop, distribute and manage life cycle of JHAs, SWPs and CWPs
+ Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers and Superintendents on each project and provide technical support for all EHS requirements
+ Direct jobsite EHS activities as required by our Company, OSHA and Industry standards
+ Identify, control, and eliminate hazardous site conditions that may lead to worker injury or property damage
+ Oversee and/or perform regular project walk throughs and provide Observations and corrective action reporting thru company's online project management application
+ Ensure subcontractor EHS policies, JHA's and pre-installation safety requirements are met for trades prior to their on-site activity
+ Ensure that federal, state and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules are observed, and that OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met
+ Provide monthly reporting to company Executive Team
+ Audit/Manage Corporate Safety Policy
+ Perform Root Cause Analysis of incidents and prepare & implement prevention plans
+ Oversee Fleet (Vehicle) Safety and Roadworker Safety
**PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
+ Degree or Certification in safety management or relevant field is preferred
+ Minimum 5 yrs of experience in a professional safety role; proven successful experience as a safety manager preferred
+ Associate/Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) Preferred but not required
+ Knowledge of Roadworker Protection/MUTCD standards a plus
+ OSHA 500 certification preferred
+ Experience writing Health And Safety Plans (HASP's) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's).
+ Deep understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines/regulations
+ In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, federal, state, and city environmental and safety regulations and practices.
+ Ability to do public speaking, for safety training purposes.
+ Must have a valid driver's license, in good standing.

Job Description
AECOM seeks a Transit Stations Delivery Principal in Transit Architecture to join our NY Metro Buildings + Places leadership team. This role will focus on driving the growth of professional design services related to passenger stations, state of good repair and multi-modal transportation infrastructure within NY/NJ, with occasional involvement in national projects. This position will be part of one of the largest multidisciplinary Transit design teams in the country.
The ideal candidate will be an architect with deep technical knowledge of building technology and expertise in the design and delivery of innovative transit facilities, including rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit. Additionally, the candidate will nurture a local multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers, urban strategists, and specialty sub-consultants, while also engaging with national and global experts to ensure the delivery of efficient, equitable, and inspiring transportation facilities.The candidate will be responsible for executing professional project work, contributing to winning new projects, cultivating strong client relationships within the NY Metro area, and helping to grow AECOM's portfolio of transit systems, stations and infrastructure. This position is supported by our regional operational and technical teams and reports to the NYM Director of Architecture. The candidate will also collaborate with the Global Head of Stations to leverage broader expertise and resources.
Candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, ensuring successful project execution and positive relationships
Lead and mentor senior-level architects within the practice, as well as collaborate with partner and sub-consulting design firms
Support business development and marketing efforts for proposals and presentations
Lead and manage project teams to ensure successful project delivery, including oversight of project schedules and budgets
Develop strategies, prepare proposals, assist in negotiating contracts, and execute projects in conjunction with the principal-in-Charge
Provide oversight and direction for all phases of project work, ensuring adherence to the company's Quality Assurance program
Build and maintain relationships with key officials of client agencies, organizations, and partner companies
Bring design creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to anticipate and solve both routine and complex problems, articulate objectives, and requirements, organize project approaches, and develop and implement standards, guidelines, procedures, and protocols
Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients, ensuring consistent profit margins, and avoiding write-downs or multiplier erosion
Manage more complex clients and projects, often involving Risk Triggering Factors (RTF)
Exercise decision-making authority in recognizing risk and uncertainty, with plans to mitigate and eliminate such risks
Direct staff to minimize exposure to claims and ensure projects are completed without significant issues
Work with the project Principal-in-Charge throughout all phases of the project to obtain client satisfaction and ensure financial project performance
Communicate effectively with clients and project teams, including public agencies
Facilitate team communication, coordination, and collaboration to support assigned projects
Manage teams across business lines, in remote locations, and/or management of subcontractors
Collaborate with and mentor less experienced team members and Project Managers
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Architecture plus ten 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional License as Architect (RA)
Project management experience managing multi-discipline architectural engineering building and facilities design projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong relationships with regional transit agencies
Recent experience working with MTA, AMTRAK, NJT and/or LIRR, agencies
Professional experience utilizing industry standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bentley/ MicroStation family of BIM and 3D modeling software, MS Excel and Word
Design/Build experience, DBIA certification is a plus
LEED Accreditation is a plus
PMP Certification is a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Description
The New York Metro Buildings + Places Team is a multi-disciplinary group consisting of professionals across multiple disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Structural, Civil, Change Management, and Landscape design.
B+P is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based in the New York Metro area and can be based in New York City, Piscataway or Bloomfield, New Jersey.
As a people manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. Projects will focus on the federal sector.
The responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction
Maintain, develop and coordinate all aspects of the A/E practice on federal project
Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients
Lead and manage a design team to produce fully coordinated set of working drawings and project specifications
Supervise and mentor within a team environment. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced architects, designers and technical staff; provide direction to help others meet objectives
Write and coordinate winning proposals, attract new clients and retain current clients as required
Manage financial and cost control aspects of building projects
Meet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirements
Collaborate with management on preparation of project proposals; oversee design development proposals and feasibility studies
Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Direct experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Federal government portfolio (DOD, GSA, etc.)

Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering.
Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities

* Gather and analyze pricing information from vendors, sub-contractors and internal resources to develop compressive cost estimates.

* Follow-up with contractors to ensure that bids are received.
* Ensures all bids are priced correctly by subcontractors and vendors i.e. Tax Exempt. Confirm pricing received reflects the correct scope of work.
* Submits bids and budgets by the bid deadline to mechanical contractors and building owners.
* Work with Sales Executives to create Technical Proposals for sealed bid packages
* Ability to collaborate across functions to manage cost and price factors that influence customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
Qualifications:
* 2 - 3 years of estimating experience in the Building Management and Temperature Controls.
* Ability to treat sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality. Possess skills and understanding in conceptual estimating.

Scope
The BMS Field Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of field coordination of controls projects.
Duties
* Coordinate and manage multiple automation installation projects.
* Consult with Project Manager regarding scope additions and deductions, priorities and deadlines.
* Review contract documents and reconcile with RFIs, and project correspondence regarding approved additional scope to determine what scope should and should not be executed and confirm with the Project Manager.

* Anticipate and be able to meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
* Perform necessary point to point check-out, commissioning, diagnostic, and maintenance procedures on building automation systems, front-end workstations, servers, electric and pneumatic controls.
* Troubleshoot and repair building automation system panels, including communications equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers.
* Efficiently edit computer programs for building automation system points such as determining conversion patterns, defining point acronyms, and/or soliciting alarm specifications from operating personnel.
* Implement energy conservation measures by utilizing and/or modifying the existing building automation system features i.e. mathematical computation and environmental controls.
* Maintain project related documentation including but not limited to commissioning documentation, daily reports, as-builts and status reports.
* Plan, organize and carry out assigned job responsibilities within established time parameters.

* Assist in Junior technician evaluation and training
* Continuously seek to improve knowledge of required job skills and stay abreast of industry changes.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5-7 years field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration, and experience with pneumatic controls.
* Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools and field circuit debugging skills preferred.
* Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields.
* Abile to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, WebCTRL, AutoCad, various operating systems.
* Proven track record of completing jobs on schedule, being self-motivated and achieving full customer satisfaction.

This is full-time onsite position for an on-going project in Staten Island, NY.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Implementing the requirements of AECOM's Construction Manager's (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP).
* Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards.
* Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
* Review all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans (SWPPP) to verify comprehensive oversight of all site activities.
* Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor's EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.
* Conduct frequent construction site visits.
* Track and monitor the Contractor's compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s).
* Track and monitor all site EHSRs' performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR's daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.
* Perform and submit daily reports of the Contractors' Work areas and document non-compliance with the Contractor's EHASPs and JHAs.
* Review Contractor's incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented.
* Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance.
* Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with Client staff.
* Review and manage all EHS Annual Reports (i.e., EPCRA, Hazardous Waste, Confined Space).
Qualifications

* CHST and/or ASP certification.

What We Offer
Compensation:
