JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the concessions stand sales, general facility oversight during sporting events to ensure event success, and monitoring parking at University of Tennessee during football season. Doing so with exceptional customer service. Schedule/Pay Schedule based on games and other sporting events typically in the evenings and on weekends. Pay for this position is ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Oversee concessions during shift, including but not limited to, operating point of sale, equipment, ticket sales, and merchandise sales. Upkeep and organization of concessions area at all times while on duty. Patrol and monitor during events to enforce facility rules and ensure safety. Train concessions staff and volunteers. Perform concessions operator duties when scheduled or as needed. Responsible for concessions inventory, stocking, and placing orders in accordance with event schedules. Oversees scheduling of concessions operators and volunteers based on event schedules and needs. Track revenue through Vend POS software and report to supervisor timely, on a weekly basis. Patrol and monitor during events to enforce facility rules and ensure safety. Responsible for facility upkeep, including but not limited to, cleaning up spills, changing out liners in trash cans, and restocking and maintenance of paper dispensers in concessions stand and restrooms. Direct traffic & receive payment during paid parking events. Reconcile parking tickets & revenue. Any other reasonable task assigned by supervisor. Each year, students in our afterschool programs take the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Assessment to determine their academic strengths and needs. Emerald Youth strives to meet students' learning needs and help address learning gaps. This past school year, many of our students who were paired with tutors achieved greater academic growth, which is why we need you! While with their tutor, students would be able to work on specific reading and math skills with resources and content catered to their individual levels. This individualized instruction has great potential to help students make significant progress towards their learning goals and close the learning gap, helping them have the skills to be more successful and empowered. If hired, where would I work? Tutors would be placed at one of EYs JustLead program sites. EYs JustLead ministry is implemented through a network of more than 18 churches and faith-based organizations (FBOs) to raise up a large number of urban youth to love Jesus Christ and become effective leaders who help renew their communities. Structured and meaningful activities (i.e. academics, health, service-learning, discipleship, etc.) take place with young people at a church and FBO to achieve this holistic vision. What will I do? Tutors will work with students on reading and math goals, based on student needs and grade level. Tutoring in the elementary level will have a focus on reading. Tutoring at the middle school level will have a focus on math. Tutors will receive curriculum and resources to support their students, and training will be provided on how to utilize the curriculum. Tutoring resources and curriculum will be provided to tutors. What are the hours? Tutors will work 8-10 hours per week during our afterschool program hours of 3:00 - 6:00. Tutors should be able to work at least 3 or 4 days each week for 2-3 hours per day. Exact days and schedule per week will be determined based on candidate availability. Tutoring schedules with be aligned with site location schedules and student availability/needs. What age group would I work with? Tutors will be placed with 3 to 6 students attending elementary and/or middle school. One-to-one tutoring will be prioritized in most cases, to allow students to receive the individual support they need. In some cases, tutors may work with groups of 2 students. Placement will be determined based on review of candidate resume and responses to the application questions as well as candidate availability. What is the pay? Tutors are paid $17.00 per hour. When do the positions start? Ideally, tutors will start with orientation and training the week of January 5th and will begin in program the week of January 12th. Is there an end date? Our referees orchestrate the game for our participants, providing them with an opportunity to play the game they love! If hired, where would I work? Typically, all games take place at the Haslam-Sansom Ministry Complex in Lonsdale. The address is 1740 Texas Ave., 37921. What will I do? You will be responsible for starting games with a coin toss and you will time each team's warm up. You will meet with line judges to review signals prior to the start of the match. You will check team line ups, orchestrate the game in a fair manner, and sign the scoresheet at the end of each match to approve and ensure correctness before turning it in to the Director. You will monitor to ensure safe play throughout the match. You will assist in the tear down of net systems if you ref the last game of the evening. What is the schedule? Weekday matches are 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. Refs are expected to arrive 20 minutes prior to game start time. Note: Close parking fills up quickly. Implement each middle school and neighborhood sports season within the assigned parameters provided by Soccer and Gym Sports Directors. Manage teams for the assigned neighborhood and middle school, including the recruitment of players and coaches, collection of fees, distribution of uniforms, organization of teams, the scheduling and implementation of practices and games including referees, scorekeepers, clock operators, etc. if at neighborhood facility, and organizing parent meetings and celebrations. Ensure participation in leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, tryouts, training, and special events with city-wide sports team. Work with assigned school/s to support the organizing of campus sports teams. Market competitive team offerings to neighborhood. Be present at tryouts and visit teams during season.
