All participants are connected to resources to assist in job readiness and placement, education, housing and other appropriate services. NIA seeks a Hospital Responder to help create better access to on-site victim services and crisis intervention to those who have been directly impacted by violence. The role of the Hospital Responder will be to deliver crisis intervention services and follow-up to those who have experienced violent trauma. The Hospital Responder will support services at Kings County Hospital and on-site at the Neighbors In Action locations in Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy. This person will be available to travel within Brooklyn to provide services and provide home visits. Professional or personal experience with the criminal justice system is preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Crisis Intervention: Provide counseling services for youth, young adults and their caregivers/support system as referred by S.O.S. Hospital Workers and S.O.S.
