    Monitors the County's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, radio communication frequencies and security and fire alarms, as well as dispatches appropriate support and provides necessary information to assist during routine and emergency operations. Education, Experience and Training: Graduation from accredited high school/GED Program. One (1) year clerical/administrative work related experience, OR 15 hours of college or a combination of the two; OR Six (6) months work experience as a telecommunicator / 911 operator. Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Employees assigned to the Sheriff's Department Communications Division must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma from an accredited high school or a high school equivalency certificate (GED) administered and awarded through the Department of Education and State GED testing facilities in the United States on file, and be able to obtain a Telecommunicator License issued by the State of Texas within twelve months. Ability to type 35 wpm. Will be trained in telecommunication procedures and is required to become TCOLE certified as a terminal operator to use the TLNETS/NLETS, NCIC, TCIC and other computer crime systems. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Requires successful completion of a polygraph and extensive background investigation and is subject to random, unannounced drug/alcohol testing. Physical/Environmental Requirements: May require prolonged sitting, reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting of up to 25 lbs., unassisted. Works 8-hour shifts covering 7-days/week, 24 hours/day with non-standard weekends and holidays. 1. Receives and directs incoming emergency and complaint calls, answers hot lines, provides general information and other County numbers to callers, relays instructions to parties, refers difficult calls to the Supervisor for action and directs calls to proper authority. 2. Monitors logged calls on the CAD system and dispatches appropriate routine and emergency support, as necessary. 3. Monitors Patrol, Warrant Execution, Bailiff, Detention, Constable, Building Security, Fire Marshall, Medical Examiner and Public Works radio frequencies, logs calls, provides various information and support and dispatches help and back-up, when required. 4. Answers 911 telephone calls from primarily unincorporated areas of the county and secures necessary emergency assistance. 5. Performs criminal history inquiries on requested individuals and provides information to authorized personnel. 6. Monitors court security alarms, court evidence locker alarms, jail holdover fire alarms and building fire alarms and dispatches appropriate personnel to respond to and report actual situations. 7. Sends and receives TLETS/NLETS communications between DSO and other law enforcement agencies relative to warrant confirmations, stolen vehicles, wanted persons, runaways and other subjects. 8. May serve as a shift leader in the absence of the Supervisor. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Frequently in station, as the facility is equipped with a small lounge area that is furnished. 3. LIFTING AND CARRYING: Frequently. Required to lift and carry weights ranging from a few pounds to ten pounds and above. Occasionally required to lift and carry weights more than 100 pounds or more. Employees will need to lift and carry with one team member adult patients, lifting them from various positions (such as a bed or a chair) onto various patient movement devices, such as an ambulance stretcher, a stair chair, long back boards, etc., and then efficiently move them into an ambulance. Other heavier objects in the high range category would be 5-foot tall, 10 inch diameter oxygen cylinders, and medical equipment boxes. The oxygen cylinders can be made of quarter-inch steel and weigh up to 120 pounds. The medical equipment boxes can weigh approximately fifty pounds or more. 4. BENDING AND STOOPING: Frequently. Throughout a work shift the individual will be required to bend in a range of 1 to 90 degrees. The average situation will require the individual to work in a range of 35-to-65-degree bends. This would involve: lifting a patient, lifting equipment, treating a patient at ground level, sitting on a bench located in the ambulance. This activity may be prolonged and last up to 30 minutes or more. During any given call, the provider may bend and/or stoop any number of times per incident. 5. CROUCHING AND KNEELING: Frequently. Crouching and kneeling may be performed when on the scene picking up equipment or assisting patients. The actual number of times this is done depends on the incident. 6. CLIMBING: Occasionally. This is required when climbing steps up and down with a patient on a cot or other device, and when entering or exiting the emergency vehicle. Generally, the climbing would require that the employee be lifting and carrying heavy objects such as a cot or other device with a patient on it. Balancing may be required when backing down staircases. 7. REACHING: Frequently. Throughout the work shift, to review monitoring equipment, operate communication equipment, administer oxygen, and operate the equipment. The employee may also be required to reach in precarious positions, such as in a vehicle, which has been crushed in an accident, or in other confined spaces. If working inside the ambulance enroute to a medical facility, the employee will need to reach to access the patient and supplies. Reaching will involve partial to full extension of the arms. 8. PUSHING AND PULLING: Frequently. The activities that would require the most force in pushing and pulling when removing or returning a gurney to the emergency vehicle, with and without a patient on the gurney. The weight required to push/pull will vary, depending on the weight on the gurney. Slight pushing will be required if the employee is performing CPR, which can require repetitive pushing and may range from a few minutes to hours. Pushing and pulling are required when operating and closing vehicle doors. 9. HANDLING OR GRASPING: Continuously. While working at any given location, continual bilateral gross manipulation is performed in this position. This may be involved when: opening/closing doors; using, handling, carrying, and operating medical equipment that may weigh approximately fifty pounds or more, stretcher rails, and various handles attached to equipment and tools. The arm and hand must be able to perform all types of positions, including supination and pronation. Hyperextension, extension, and flexion of the fingers will be involved, and ulnar and radial deviation, abduction, and adduction of the hand and wrist will be required. A wide variety of grasping will be required, such as cylindrical grasping, palmer grasping, hook grasping, tip grasping, and lateral and spherical grasping. 10. HAZARDS: Occasionally. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, scanner, and computer printer. Ability to operate EMS equipment such as blood pressure cuff, glucometer, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, etc. Frequently communicates with patients, EMS providers, hospital and facility staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, push, pull, reaching, lifting, squat, twist, carrying and climb stairs to access a patient and or equipment inside cramped spaces such as the back of an ambulance. Must be able to routinely lift more than 200 lbs. with assistance, from ground level to move or manipulate a patient, on a backboard or load a patient and stretcher into an ambulance. Key Responsibilities: Wound Care Support & Patient Assistance: Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight). Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping for amniotic allograft placement and wound procedures. Support wound dressing changes, debridement procedures, and post-treatment care. Maintain and clean all medical supplies and tools after each patient visit. Mobile Wound Care & Professional Driving: Operate a company vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and Restore First Health's professional driving policy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness-pre-gas and clean the exterior daily, and the interior weekly (or as needed). Pack necessary wound care medical supplies daily based on the patient schedule. Wound Care Coordination & Scheduling: Work with the Practice Manager to optimize the daily wound visit and consultation schedule. Confirm patient appointments the day before and provide estimated arrival times on the day of the visit. Coordinate wound care visits with primary care physicians (PCPs), specialists, and home health providers. Ensure all necessary wound care documentation, orders, and medical records are obtained and processed correctly. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. EMT Certification required. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice setting, preferably in wound care. Experience with EMR systems (Athena preferred). Valid driver's license with a clean driving history. Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and multitasking skills.
