Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias
Provide PCU/Stepdown level care, including IV insulin and heparin protocols
Manage renal failure and administer/titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
Administer blood products and manage tracheostomies
Participate in rapid response team interventions
Perform wound care and manage wound vacs
Provide non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy)
Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records

Summary:
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. (Department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365).
The RN accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the OhioNurse Practice Act.
