Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift (40 hours/week) Contract Duration: January 12 - April 11, 2026 Employment Type: Contract We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to support a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract opportunity is ideal for an RN with strong cardiovascular surgical experience who thrives in a fast-paced operating room environment and is comfortable with on-call responsibilities. The CVOR RN will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary surgical team. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients Scrub and/or circulate for CVOR procedures in accordance with clinical competency Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular cases Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures and respond to changes promptly Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and patient safety standards Accurately document patient care and surgical activities in the electronic medical record Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, perfusionists, and OR staff Participate in on-call coverage as required to support CVOR services Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals Schedule & On-Call Requirements Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) On Call: 1 on-call shift weekly 1 weekend per month (Friday through Monday morning) Weekend Rotation: None Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday per contract Floating: None Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact, as applicable) Recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience required Proficiency in scrubbing and/or circulating CVOR cases Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
