We're currently searching for RNs with a minimum of 4 years of recent critical care experience. This role begins in early 2026. Our Clinical Nurse Educators provide end-user training, configuration, and go-live support for healthcare technology in hospital environments. Type: Ongoing contract, possible fulltime offer Pay: $40.00 an hour Location: Must reside within United States (PST, MST, CST) + ability to travel for several consecutive overnights across a 10-15 state territory This role is an ongoing contract, and assignments are expected to be a few days to a week, typically on weekdays. Travel may be required on the weekends. You will be required to work a minimum of two assignments per month. Each assignment is 3 to 5 days. All aspects of the role are paid for including training, hotel, meals, flights, Ubers/cars, etc. When you are working the hourly pay rate is $40.00 an hour. $20.00 an hour while traveling via flight or car. Responsibilities of the Nurse Educator: · Travel to customer sites (hospitals, medical centers) to educate and support healthcare professionals in operating their critical care monitors proficiently and safely. · Configure or design monitor set-up per client company directed parameters and customer consultation. · Provide post-sales end-user education classes/in-services. · Travel and scheduling requirements include: o Maintain 4-5 consecutive days of availability Monday through Friday, at least twice per month and can travel on Sundays, late Friday evenings, or Saturday mornings. o Readiness and willingness to work all shifts. o Ability to travel for several consecutive overnights across a 10-15 state territory. o Must live within 1 hour of a major US airport for air travel needs (including willingness to fly regional jets) and have access to reliable transportation for drivable assignments 4-5 hours from home. Qualifications of the Nurse Educator: · Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of residence · Bachelor's Degree preferred but not necessary. · Must reside within United States (PST, MST, CST) · Minimum of three to five years of critical care experience (ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU, ED, etc.) with in-depth knowledge of the critical care environment and clinical applications (interpreting cardiac rhythms and ST-segments, bedside cardiac monitoring devices and central station monitoring, invasive lines and pressure monitoring; including cardiac output, wedge pressures, etc.). · High level of initiative, accountability, and professionalism. Job Responsibilities:-Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases whenever appropriate. -Provide guidance, supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff. -Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers and outside provider agencies. -Utilize established corporate, facility and correctional policies and procedures in making decisions, but use sound independent judgment in meeting the responsibilities and performing the duties of the position. -Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent the inappropriate use, or duplication of those services. -Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records. -Assist Health Service Administrator with the review of medical files to determine all provided services are documented. -Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses. -Audit pharmacy use for adherence to formulary, as directed or required. -Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws, especially those covering controlled substances. -Observe and record inmate/resident behavior. -Inspect the medical unit for items that could be used as contraband by inmate/residents; securely store or safely dispose of supplies and equipment. -Provide health counseling and health education on an individual or group basis, as required. -Assist Health Service Administrator to prepare and maintain a variety of standard narrative, statistical, summary and/or operational records, reports and logs, using appropriate grammar, to include filing, alphabetizing and labeling; properly process all reports and documents in a timely manner. -Read, analyze, comprehend and interpret medical and technical procedures, governmental regulations, legal and non-legal documents. -Review, process and respond (via corporate counsel) to lawsuits; attend court hearings, when necessary.-Facilitate, where applicable, NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation of the medical program by providing the required level of efficiency and approved, appropriate medical services. -Prepare and disseminate safety and accident reports as required by policies and procedures; take appropriate action in cases of serious and unusual incidents and emergencies. **See Attachment for Full Job Description** Notes: N/A W2 Pay Rate: $54.94 *Travel candidates only (70 miles or more from facility) Certification Requirements: Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
