Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CVOR OR RN (Cardiovascular Operating Room RegisteredNurse) with specialized experience in scrubbing Endovascular cases. This role requires a specific skill set in endovascular procedures, including scrubbing and circulating in high-acuity surgical environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to patient safety, quality monitoring, and efficient coordination of care across the operating room.
Shift Details
Schedule: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
On-Call Requirements: 2 shifts per six-week schedule; weekend availability as needed.
Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday. If off on the holiday, the candidate must work the day before or the day after. Must work an evening shift and a day shift. Additionally, must work a winter hallmark and spring hallmark holiday.
Key Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate in Endovascular cases, ensuring precise execution of procedures.
Provide high-level support in a Level 1 trauma environment, focusing on patient safety and quality monitoring.
Coordinate care across the OR with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Maintain flexibility to meet departmental needs, with no acceptance of consecutive days or weeks of requested time off (RTO).
Requirements
Experience: 4 years of Level 1 trauma experience required. Scrub and circulate experience is essential.
Education: BSN degree preferred.
Licensure and Certifications:
Active NJ RN license (required; all candidates must provide license verification).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.
Vaccination: Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with 1 booster required.
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent attention to detail for ensuring patient safety and quality monitoring.
Strong organizational skills for coordination of care across the OR.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to departmental needs.
