ABOUT THE EMERGENCYDEPARTMENT REGISTERED NURSE POSITION
We have an exciting opening for an EMERGENCYDEPARTMENT REGISTERED NURSE (RN). The EmergencyDepartment RN possesses a distinct body of knowledge and skills relative to the care of patients across the lifespan who are experiencing life-threatening conditions requiring complex clinical assessment, technologically intense therapies, and interventions. The RN applies specialized nursing knowledge in assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient response to complex conditions, therapies, and interventions. The RN initiates nursing care, health teaching, and health counseling that supports life and restores well-being. Nursing care is performed in accordance with the nurse practice act and under the direction and supervision of the appropriate client representative(s) on the assigned Emergency Care Unit.

Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complies with ATC policies/procedures.

Conducts individualized patient assessment, prioritizing collection of data based on individual needs and condition.

Initiates emergency measures according to adult, pediatric and client advanced resuscitation protocols.
Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
Advocates patient rights with respect to advance directives and organ donation.
Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift, and as needed based on individualized patient assessment.
Maintains competency in emergency care by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
Complies with accepted ethical conduct and professional Standards of Nursing Practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent national organization.
Demonstrates ability to delegate effectively and appropriately.

Provide clear and accurate information on pending service, potential cost of service, estimated time of arrival and provide any instructions to the Member as needed
Ensure awareness of any AAA programs, products or discounts that may enhance the Members experience based on the specific circumstances of the call
Paid virtual training class will begin on either 2-23-26 and will last for three weeks. You are required to be on camera for the entirety of your training, any subsequent training sessions and/or meetings throughout your employment with AAA.

The ER Tech works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the EmergencyDepartment to deliver excellent patient care assistance under the supervision and direction of a designated health care professional in accordance with policies and procedures. What You Will Do:

· Collect, communicate, and document data and information.
· Perform diagnostic testing, surveillance, and monitoring.
· Assist with and perform treatments and procedures.
· Maintain medical equipment and supplies.
· Assist with the transportation of patients, supplies, specimens, and medications.
· Respond to emergencies, including the initiation of emergency measures.
· Perform associated and delegated duties in support of departmental and hospital operations.
· Work under the direction of a registered nurse or provider to perform trained and competency-validated tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in high school, in process of completing GED or has obtained high school diploma or GED.
· Specialty license, certification, training or experience according to assignment area.

Join the CU College of Nursing as a Volunteer Clinical Faculty Member! We are seeking Volunteer Clinical Faculty to serve as Graduate Clinical Preceptors and work with our graduate students. Ideal individuals for a Volunteer Clinical Faculty appointment have both experiential and academic preparation that would allow them to provide clinical supervision to a student or a group of students in a clinical setting. Working with a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member in a clinical setting allows our students to obtain real-life, hands-on, experience while receiving guidance and clinical expertise from the Volunteer Clinical Faculty Member. These faculty members provide opportunities for our students to learn with gradually diminishing supervision over the course of the semester.
Volunteer Clinical Faculty have the ability to aid us in developing competency and problem-solving abilities in our students. Volunteer Clinical Faculty mentor students to help ensure that each student is prepared to enter the profession. They have the ability to have a profound influence on the future of nursing and Advanced Practice Nurses. Some of the roles of a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member include consultant, educator, mentor, resource person, and role-model. Volunteer Clinical Faculty and students are paired within the clinical environments generally where the faculty member employed. These practices may include private offices, clinics, county departments of health, home healthcare, hospitals, and agencies. With some of our acute-care focused programs, students may be scheduled on inter professional consultation teams in acute care/hospital settings.
An expectation of a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member is to hold the clinical credentials for which the student is studying. Graduate students are paired with Volunteer Clinical Faculty who have attained a graduate or post-graduate education. While students may work with more than one clinician, in general, students should be paired with a primary preceptor who can monitor the student's progress over the course of the semester. Volunteer Clinical Faculty can be nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, physicians, physician assistants, researchers, nurse educators, or other health care clinicians. Volunteer Clinical Faculty assist in the clinical/in-direct care role education of CU College of Nursing graduate students.

Responsibilities of Graduate Clinical Preceptors:
* Communication
o Meet with the student via phone or in person to identify the dates and times a student will precept with you.
o Talk with the student's faculty member to learn more about the clinical practicum and course expectations.
* Mentoring
o Provide orientation to systems, policy and procedures in the department and review agency guidelines that may impact student experiences.
o Once the student has started, provide opportunities for the student to participate in some functions such as team meetings, committee meetings, and other events that will orient them to stakeholder, as appropriate.
o Help the student structure their learning goals to meet their practicum objectives and the needs of the organization.
* Feedback
o Provide students with honest, constructive feedback as needed.
o Preceptor will be asked to provide feedback about the student's performance in achieving competency outcomes for the course.
o Preceptor will be asked to complete an evaluation form at the midpoint and/or completion of the student's placement. This evaluation will include a narrative assessment of the student's strengths and weaknesses.
