The Events Virtual Assistant will work closely with the President in achieving success for our mission and corporate & university members.
Our new Events Virtual Assistant will be stepping into a demanding and fast-moving position that requires a positive attitude and he or she will be a quick problem solver, highly organized, and have experience in national security, high tech or related fields, and have experience managing events. This role will be largely administrative in nature and require professional communications with both our members, and leaders in the Space Community.

Responsibilities include:
Events:
Work closely with President and team to manage email flow relating to events. Events Virtual Assistant will be responsible for handling about 70% of total email flow
Work with venues and catering teams where we host our events
Salesforce / Pardot and Outlook Membership Records
· Manage and improve our current Salesforce / Pardot and Outlook membership records
Required Qualifications:
5 or more years work experience in Events, in a dynamic, fast paced work environment

Work will be done remote, though individuals in the Eastern or Central time zones preferred, to synch better with HQ. We will provide a new, fast, capable computer for work.
Average of 25 - 30 hours a week. Typically must be available 8:30am-2:30pm ET, Monday thru Friday for this to work, optimal work pattern will be discussed during the interview with qualified candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responds to emergency calls for service requiring the dispatching of personnel using emergency and non-emergency telephone lines;
Performs computerized entry of information, and other law enforcement related material;
Responds to varied emergency situations dealing with emotional, injured, and/or victimized persons, and is responsible for ascertaining and collecting crucial information needed in the given situation, and relaying it correctly without delay;
Responds to all incoming emergency calls, places outgoing calls as necessary, operates a National Crime Information Computer, operates a Computer Assisted Dispatch console, monitors comprehensive mapping system, while receiving information from callers;

Responds to calls in a courteous and timely manner;
Communicates and coordinates regularly to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities;
Performs searches with partial data to identify persons and vehicle registration to expedite emergency services;

Provides needed information and demonstrations concerning how to perform certain work tasks to new employees in the same or similar class of positions;

**Duties and responsibilities**
E- 911 Dispatchers will answer emergency and non-emergency calls that come into the Communications Center for a variety of agencies including but not limited to the Rescue Squad and Fire Department, Sheriff's Office, and Offices of the Animal Warden and Game Warden. Calls are screened in order to determine what agency needs to service the requests and agents are then dispatched to respond. These calls for service can be routine and they can also be emergency or life-threatening situations.
