As a Biometric Technician (BT), you will be responsible for supporting the mission of a government program located in San Juan, PR This position works as a part of a dynamic team of professionals assisting the United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) Application Support Center (ASC) operations. What does a typical day look like for the EOD Technician? You will: Perform UXO-related field tasks in support of site investigation, surface clearance, and subsurface clearance operations. Assist with UXO identification, documentation, and reporting under direct supervision. Conduct geophysical surveys, anomaly investigation support, and basic excavation tasks as directed. Adhere strictly to Explosives Safety Standards, Work Plans, and Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHP). Support environmental protection measures to minimize impacts to sensitive habitats and wildlife. Assist in maintaining accurate field logs, daily reports, and UXO documentation. Participate in safety briefings, tailgate meetings, and required training. Operate hand tools, basic field equipment, and detection instruments as authorized. Comply with all FWS, DoD, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Support logistical operations in remote and austere environments. What qualifications do you look for? You might be the professional we're looking for if you have: Must meet the qualifications for UXO Technician I as defined in DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) TP-18. Have minimum 5 years or more as an Army 89D, Marine Corps MOS 2336 or Navy M04A and be graduate of official DoW EOD School house to obtain the MOS. Valid Training certification documentation. Ability to work under direct supervision in hazardous field conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, walking long distances, and working in tropical environments. Willingness to travel and work extended periods on Vieques and Culebra. Must be able to deploy within 24 hours of notification. Ability to pass required background checks and medical qualifications. Responsibilities: Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. Qualifications: Technical Certification or Degree in related area 1 year of related experience Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point Fluent in Spanish and English SAP knowledge Vision System basic knowledge PLC basic knowledge Knowledge on the interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics Troubleshooting knowledge on electronic and mechanical components, equipment or systems. As a manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for maintain the manufacturing equipment working and in optimal conditions to satisfy the business demand. In this role you will be contributing to human welfare in order to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life. Together we can change healthcare worldwide. Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and\/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Maintain machines and manufacturing equipment working in excellent conditions. Inspect their mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic components to detect or verify that they are operating properly. Assemble and install equipment and machinery using hand precision tools. Maintain work relations and coordination with personnel in the production, quality and Engineering department. Must be available to work irregular hours. Receive training in or out of the island to maintain capacity of performance within functions. Support Validations activities and assist in the PODs generation. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience Laser Welding and Leak Tester machines. Troubleshooting and performing maintenance to machines. Vocational Certification or Technical degree completed. Nice to have: Basic Knowledge of CAD software such as Solid Works or Auto CAD. Basic Knowledge to read and interpret specifications of blueprints for parts of equipment either electrical or mechanical drawings. Basic Knowledge with Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting. Basic Knowledge working with vision systems and servo motors. Capable to read and interpret pneumatic or electrical diagrams. *Willing to work 100% on\-site in Juncos for 3rd and\/or 4th shift.
