Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs and specimens in conjunction with transplant surgeons and/or organ recovery coordinators in accordance with policies and standards.
Assumes primary responsibility for the renal preservation process including pumping and pump transport, in accordance with policies and standards.
Performs extensive on-call responsibilities to assist with the activities related to the donor recovery.
Coordinates and assists with organ allocation, including kidney and liver placement, distribution, and transportation of organs for transplantation and/or research in accordance with policies and standards.
Coordinates and assists with fly outs and fly backs.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
One to two years experience in the operating room or recent graduate of a certified surgical technician program required.
Health-related certification and ISOP Level 1 by completion of the first year.
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications and basic data entry skills required.

Job Summary: Under close supervision, the Radiologic Technologist (Multi-Modality) performs a variety of duties in the Department of Radiology/ Imaging Services of Alameda Health System related to general Radiography/Fluoroscopy. 1. Assists Physician in administering opaque media (contrast)
2. Rotates assignments within the department by assigned shifts as required to meet departmental needs

4. Maintains adequate records of examinations/dose/contrast as directed, and appropriately utilizing two patient identifier with each patient exam

Summary: Under supervision of the communications manager, this position performs a variety of skills and semi-skilled functions in support of the communication center; receives and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls assist with ancillary services; provides EmergencyMedical Dispatch (EMD) direction and participates in the work of a dispatcher/call taker and performs other duties as assigned.
The fundamental reason this classification exists is to operate EmergencyMedical Service (EMS) Computer-Aided Dispatching equipment to quickly and accurately receive and transmit information of an emergency nature for AlphaOne Ambulance Medical Services, Inc. and contracted communities and facilities.
Work involves evaluating incoming calls to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance required, dispatching units, and transmitting information and messages upon request and/or according to established policies/procedures. Employees are expected to demonstrate extensive communications skills and to exercise considerable judgment under pressure. Work is performed under the general direction of a communications manager and/or shift lead. Dispatchers must be able to work any assigned shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are typically 12 hours long, on a “4/3 split” schedule (4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off). However, duration of shifts and scheduled workdays may vary due to operational need.

* Serves as a fully trained member of a firefighting crew engaged in a full range of emergency response to include: fire, emergencymedical, specialized rescue, and natural disasters.

The list established from this selection process may be used by the Fire Department to fill vacancies at Level I and Level II.
Detailed descriptions for Levels I and II are below. The descriptions are cumulative in that Level II may be required to perform the duties defined in Level I.
Level I - EMT
Under general supervision, responds to medical and other emergencies and engages in life support and life-saving activities; performs emergencymedical service (EMS); maintains equipment; staffs and drives an ambulance to provide initial emergencymedical care in a pre-hospital setting; evaluates and administers advanced first aid, basic life support and life maintenance measures in accordance with EmergencyMedical Service Agency (EMSA) policies and procedures, including CPR, definitive therapeutic care at the scene of an emergency or during transport of persons; provide community health screening and other non-emergency health services; protects the privacy of patients treated by SFFD, safeguards patient information and uses and discloses patient information in accordance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the privacy practices of SFFD; may perform duties of either driving ambulances, EMT attendant and other related duties as assigned. Works a 40-hour week, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; shift to be determined by operational requirements. Incumbents must maintain superior physical strength, agility and stamina to carry out the intense physical duties of the position.
Level II - Paramedic
In addition to the above, required to provide advanced emergencymedical care to victims of fire and activities for saving lives and property, including medical scene size-up, establishing medical command post, reporting to incident commander or EMS Captain and implementing medical Incident Command System (ICS); supports rescue activities in a variety of situations; renders first aid, treatment for shock, cardiac compression, resuscitation, and prevention of blood loss; responds to trauma or medicalemergencies; performs primary and secondary evaluation of patients to assess conditions, triages in major disasters; administers proper procedural emergency treatment; institutes emergency care and/or advanced life support to stabilize patient conditions, including cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation, drug administration, invasive procedures and definitive therapy; as part of EMS response, conducts hazard assessment of residences, places of business, public assemblage, schools, and hospitals to ensure compliance with fire codes, ordinances, laws and regulations, and refers potential hazards/violations to appropriate Fire Department division; participates in training and physical fitness programs as required.
Qualifications
This selection process is open to individuals meeting at least
all of the
minimum qualifications listed for Level I below
at the time of application filing.
Individuals who meet minimum qualifications for Level II may be considered by the Department at that level.
H003 Minimum Qualifications: (All levels)
Age:
Applicants must be at least 19 years old at the time of application and must be at least 20 years old at the time of appointment. [Civil Service Rule 310.15]
Education:
Applicants must have a high school diploma or an equivalency certificate (e.g., G.E.D., California High School Proficiency Certificate) to apply.
Driving Record:
Applicants must possess a valid driver license with seven years driving record verified during Background Investigation. Applicants must possess a valid Class A, B, or C California Driver License by the time of their appointment. Applicants will not be considered eligible to participate or to be appointed if any of the following occurred, or is in effect at any time, during the period from “one year prior to application up to the date of appointment”:
(a) Any offense that subsequently results in a conviction for driving under the influence, reckless driving, or hit and run with personal injury or property damage over $25.00; or any offense that occurred within a three-year period prior to appointment.
(b) License suspension or revocation, three moving violations in 12 months, 5 moving violations in 24 months, or probation as a result of a driving-related offense.

Any significant discrepancy between an applicant's statement and the Department of Motor Vehicles' records will result in disqualification.]
Criminal Record:
Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony in this state, or in any other state or in any federal or other jurisdiction, of an act that would be considered a felony if committed in this state. Applicants must not have been on probation for a misdemeanor offense from one year prior to application through the time of appointment. Convictions for misdemeanors within one year prior to application will be evaluated individually and may result in disqualification.

1. Possession of a current and valid CAEmergencyMedicalTechnician (EMT) Certification issued by the State of CA [required by the application filing deadline]

the ability to accredit with the local EMS Authority [required prior to appointment].
2. Possession and maintenance of valid Class A, B, or C CADL w/Ambulance Driver certificate/endorsement at time of appointment.
3. Any combination of 500 hours of verifiable work experience as an EMT (on an ambulance or first responder vehicle) or hours of documented ambulance ride-along as a member of the San Francisco Fire Reserves within the last
three
years, at the time of application filing;
OR
Any combination of 1,000 hours of verifiable work experience as an EMT (on an ambulance or first responder vehicle) or hours of documented ambulance ride-along as a member of the San Francisco Fire Reserves within the last
five
years, at the time of application filing.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for Consideration at Level II:
Possession and maintenance of a valid CAEmergencyMedicalTechnician Paramedic (Paramedic) license issued by the State of CA and the ability to accredit with local EMS Agency.
Possession and maintenance of valid Class A, B, or C CADL w/ Ambulance Driver certificate / endorsement at time of appointment.
1,000 hours verifiable work experience as a Paramedic (on an ambulance or first responder vehicle) within the last three years; OR 1,500 hours verifiable work experience as a Paramedic (on an ambulance or first responder vehicle) within the last five years at the time of application filing.

3. Verification of experience. Acceptable verification would be a letter from an employer which specifies the applicant's job title, duties, dates of employment and hours worked per week while working with that employer. Pay stubs may substitute for information regarding hours worked. However, all other information must be confirmed through an official letter from the employer and the letter must include the employer's letterhead.
Candidates who do not submit the required verifications as requested will no longer be considered qualified or allowed to participate further in the selection process.
Written Test (100%):
Candidates who are invited to participate in the selection process will take a pass/fail multiple-choice test to determine their relative knowledge in job-related areas, which may include, but are not limited to, procedures and practices in emergencymedicine, and current EMT techniques in field & hospital settings. Candidates who pass the Written Exam will advance to subsequent components of the selection process.
Eligible List
: Candidate duration on the eligible list will be two years. A candidate must retake the written test thereafter to again be eligible. The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this selection process will be the Rule of the List. SFFD has the authority to hire any candidate named on the eligible list (“Rule of List”). Therefore, one's placement on this list neither guarantees nor implies an offer of employment. Candidates who receive an offer of employment may waive the offer only once. A second waiver of appointment renders candidates ineligible. All candidates on the eligible list will be placed under administrative waiver until they successfully complete the Departmental Selection Process described below.

The Department
The South San Francisco Fire Department provides its residents with service in fire suppression; first-responder and ambulance transport emergencymedical services; hazardous materials response; urban search and rescue; marine rescue and fire prevention, investigation and public education. The Department operates five (5) fire stations throughout the City, plus an Emergency Operations Center and Fire Training Tower and is comprised of 92 dedicated staff members.

Salary/Rate Details:The base range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00 per hour. What you'll be doing:
As an EMT-B, you will function within the scope of each county's clinical and operational protocols, as well as abide by all of Royals processes, policies, quality standards and expectations of quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Provide basic life support, patient assessment, medication administration, airway management, and determine the nature and extent of illness or injury/establish priority for required emergency care and transport.
Engage with healthcare leaders and EMS Providers to ensure continuum of care (Physicians, Nurse Managers, Transfer Center Coordinators, Charge Nurses etc.)
Be prepared to run Code 2's and possible Code 3's
Understand, address and resolve patient/customer needs to ensure the most appropriate treatment and/or course of action

The team works to engage participants in health resources, however great or small. The program will operate a 24-hour, welcoming, compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and user-responsive space that focuses on the principles of harm reduction. Alongside providing a safe, comfortable space for clients, our emphasis is on supporting people at increased risk of substance use-related high-risk behaviors and trauma, homelessness, and death due to overdose. Priority will be given to clients' safety, and all staff will be trained in OD Prevention, Recognition, Response and Narcan Administration. By recognizing the dignity and humanity of all participants, HR360 aspires:
To reduce barriers for people who use drugs to access a non-judgmental and participant-centered SOMA RISE Program opportunity to support clients addressing the inter-related harms of homelessness, substance use, and trauma;
To provide radical hospitality and support to marginalized populations in a welcoming, optimally safe, compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and user-responsive space that focuses on the principles of harm reduction;
To help address and reduce the harmful impacts of substance-related harms in the immediate and surrounding neighborhood, by providing an appropriate space for individuals who are experiencing substance use related crisis/disfunction, including reducing deaths due to overdose and promoting restorative approaches to conflict;
To create a stigma-free zone for SOMA RISE services that will elicit and incorporate the needs and preferences of persons who use drugs in San Francisco into the program's mission, policies, practices, and development;
To continuously monitor the successes and challenges of the Program so as to learn how to improve the service delivery of this community-based model;
And to collaborate with the community partners, including community-based harm reduction, treatment, and wellness resources to create more sustainable links to resources for individuals during and after their SOMA RISE stay.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Service Responsibilities:
Treat program participants with respect and dignity, interacting with them in a caring, non-judgmental manner, utilizing harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles;
Take participant vital signs as appropriate;
Evaluate participants for any urgent medical needs and refer to supervisor or provider for higher level of medical care as needed;
Under the supervision and support of the medical provider may triage clients based on urgent/emergency clinical assessment to higher level of medical care;
Monitor SOMA RISE safety adherence and general well-being of all participants, and call 911 when needed;
Monitor for and take the lead for any medicalemergencies and call 911 when needed;
Engage participants in compassionate ways to build motivation toward health initiatives in their own lives;
Respond to participants' needs, ensure that SOMA RISE protocols are being addressed, and, to respond to crises (e.g. conflict) and overdose with crisis de-escalation interventions and Narcan;
Attend to SOMA RISE program milieu to help maintain safe space for participants;
Provide health education and support in accordance with harm reduction principles;
Work as active team member along with health workers, janitors, safety monitors, and supervisors to maintain safety, calm tone, and cleanliness of program;
If necessary, to provide proactive ‘warm-handoff' referral and linkages for participants to hospital care, substance use treatment, health, and social services;
Chaperone “fresh air” breaks, “smoking Breaks”, on-site food delivery service, and other onsite services.
May be required to work nights and weekends.
Administrative/Compliance Responsibilities:
Engage with community partners around participant referrals;
May need to assist in completing participant observation logs, documenting rounds and occasionally observing the milieu for interval checks;
Attending internal program staff meetings and administrative supervision including regular shift meetings and various ad hoc meetings;
Along with Team, taking ownership to ensure the overall quality of customer and health services at program;
Potentially fill the role of Health & Safety Representative including monthly safety trainings, emergency drills, maintain safety supplies, update emergency response plan, and attend safety meetings."
Training Responsibilities:
Participate in ongoing trainings on radical hospitality, harm reduction, OD Prevention/Narcan Administration, anti-stigma, crisis response and de-escalation.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience:
Certified as an EMT (EmergencyMedicalTechnician) with active current certification.
Lived experience of homelessness, illicit drug, and alcohol use (preferred).

Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, systemic racism, poverty and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
Proficiency with harm reduction, restorative justice and trauma-informed care.

Document all health-related interactions, medication logs, and care coordination in the EHR (Athena); ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Provide basic health education to clients, reinforcing medication adherence, hygiene, and preventive care practices.
Communicate changes in client condition or care plan adherence to the Medical Coordinator or clinical supervisor promptly.
Participate in daily huddles and weekly interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings to support integrated client care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment; assist with facility upkeep and infection control.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education
