Job Requirements
“Bilingual English/Spanish speaking only” Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. Current CPR certification required.
Attributes:
-Work is performed both standing and sitting for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each.
-The position does require bending and twisting of neck up from 1 to 2 hours per day.
-Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
-Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
- Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch or sit on one's heels on rare occasion. Occasionally walks, bends and twists at waist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure daily customer happiness

Shift and Status Full time, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., variable days and weekends $8,000 Sign on Bonus Available Provides physicians and patients with support needed to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and the promotion of good sleep.
Essential Functions
Performs diagnostic sleep testing, including but not limited to order interpretation, medication administration, patient hook-up and monitoring, BLS responsibility, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) initiation and titration, oxygen administration, and other related duties.
* Analyzes data collected during sleep testing, including but not limited to staging, calculation of appropriate indices, and other related activities.
* Documents findings / patient responses in a manner consistent with documentation guidelines.
* Maintains equipment for proper function and operation.
* Evaluates patients' and significant others' educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or makes appropriate referrals.
* Mentors' polysomnographic technicians with regard to all aspects of sleep medicine. Validates ten percent of scoring performed by polysomnographic technicians.
* Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Polysomnographic Technologist, Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
* Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 90 days.
Preferred
* Respiratory Therapist State of Michigan
* Respiratory Therapist Registry, National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire.

How you will change lives As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients. The PCT will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) for patients with renal failure.
What you'll be doing
Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
What we're looking for
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients in need
* Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus
Other requirements
* Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.
* Successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
* CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
* Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
* Ability to distinguish all primary colors
* Must be comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
