Position Summary:
We're seeking an experienced and fast-acting Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department team. The RN will provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients with a wide range of critical and emergent conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, quick judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform rapid patient assessments on arrival and triage based on severity and urgency.
Administer medications, IV fluids, oxygen, and ACLS interventions per physician orders.
Respond to trauma codes, cardiac arrests, stroke alerts, and other emergency situations.
Perform critical care procedures such as wound care, splinting, EKG interpretation, and airway management.
Collaborate with ED physicians, lab, radiology, and other departments to ensure timely diagnostics and interventions.
Document interventions, assessments, and patient outcomes using the EMR system (Epic/Cerner preferred).
Provide emotional support and communication to patients and families during crisis situations.
Follow all ED protocols, infection control precautions, and patient safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license (OH or Compact).
BLS ,ACLS ,PALS, NIHSS required &TNCC preferred.
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (required).
Strong triage, critical thinking, and crisis management skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Experience with Epic EMR systems required.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the EMT Basic recruit will participate in assigned training and formal academic programs of instruction during the TRAA sponsored Ivy Tech EMT Basic Recruit Academy which is designed to qualify the incumbent to graduate the academy and fill the position of a TRAA EMT Basic in the field. Upon completion and graduation from the academy, the cadet will be ready to take the test to become a Nationally Registered EMT Basic who will then be eligible for reciprocity to obtain their Indiana State EMT Basic certification. After successfully obtaining state certification and completing new hire training via the TRAA field training program, the recruit will be promoted to the title of EMT Basic. This position will interact throughout the company, internally and with various external entities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
How you will contribute
* You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
* You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medicalemergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
* You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
* You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
* You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
* You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
What you bring to Takeda:
* High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
* Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
* Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
* Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
* Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Can wash and thaw grafts, can hold a stapler while surgeon fires it, can operate skin stapler for the purpose of wound approximation and can assist with the dislocation of joints if yearly competency is accomplished. Can cut suture material as directed by and under the supervision of a surgeon, Can apply ESU to clamps or forceps for hemostasis under the direct supervision of the surgeon, can assist anesthesia if yearly competency is accomplished, Can assist with patient skin prep if yearly competency is accomplished, Can change out camera and robotic instruments during endoscopic procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon, Can manipulate the uterus during robotic cases under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
