Emergency Medical Technicians provide basic life support in an out-of-hospital care setting. Duties of an Emergency Medical Technician may include the following but are not limited to:Assists Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic) and other medical care providers in the provision of advanced level medical care. Coordinates transport; operates the ambulance; maintains transportation equipment and assures the availability of adequate supplies. Provides administrative support to the Emergency Services Coordinator as needed. Performs other duties as related to the Emergency Medical Service transportation service as assigned. QualificationsRequired: New York State Health Department certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and the appropriate New York State driver's license for the type of vehicle to be operated.
