The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is an unlicensed caregiver working under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Physician. The EMT provides the most basic of patient care including, but not limited to: vital sign collection, specimen collection, performance of ECG testing, and delivery of personal hygiene/physical care.
