Job Description We are seeking Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Instructor Aides for the Public Safety Academy in Wayne, NJ. This is part-time, hourly position. Assist the EMT Instructors to provide instruction for emergency medical technician students Assist the EMT Instructors in the demonstration and practice designed to develop and evaluate student skill competencies Attend and participate in all aspects of EMT- Basic training Assist in maintaining continuity for the training program Qualifications: Current New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT0-B) certification required Instructional experience a plus Daytime, evening and weekend availability needed The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate. Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. Responsibilities: Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care. Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations. Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures. Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report. Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center. Excellent verbal communication skills. Perform other duties as required/assigned.
