JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Transport Division of the Fire Department within the City of Oklahoma City. Essential job functions include: providing field patient care, operating an ambulance, maintaining ambulance readiness, inventory, and documentation. This position also requires maintaining high levels of clinical performance, responding to calls within response time standards, reporting of equipment issues, reporting injuries of self, colleagues, and patients to appropriate authorities, following guidelines and standards set by the Fire Department or other regulatory agencies, assisting in daily fire station duties, and participating in EMS-related training and activities. Applicants must have Oklahoma State Department of Health EMT licensure, National Registry EMT registration, and a valid Driver License, along with the ability to communicate effectively, think and act critically in emergencies, and work well with healthcare professionals and public safety professionals.
