About the role:

You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and donor notification of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. How you will contribute
* You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
* You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medicalemergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
* You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
* You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
* You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
* You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

* High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements

EmergencyMedicalTechnician (EMT) Trainee
Are you interested in pursuing a career in EmergencyMedicine? Mutual Aid Ambulance Service has a program that offers paid training while you obtain your EmergencyMedicalTechnician (EMT) certification!
This academy style EMT training program will run from March 2, 2026 until May of 2026. The training program consists of 280 hours of education that includes 224 hours of didactic and psychomotor training and 56 hours of field precepting.
This is a temporary position scheduled 32 hours a week, Monday - Thursday, 0800-1600 at a rate of $16/hour.
Training will take place at Mutual Aid Ambulance Service Inc., 561 West Otterman Street, Greensburg PA 15601.
Upon successful completion of the EMT training program and certification, trainees will be offered a full-time EMT position at a starting rate of $19.57/hour which will include a competitive benefits package.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and possess a high school diploma or GED to qualify for the program.
The cost of the EMT Training Program, materials and examination will be paid for by Mutual Aid Ambulance Service Inc. provided that there is a signed intent to accept a conditional offer of employment, with intent to remain employed full time as an EMT with Mutual Aid Ambulance Service for a period of 12 months after completing the EMT Training Program, passing the National Registry of EmergencyMedicalTechnicians (NREMT) cognitive examination and Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of EMS psychomotor examination. Should a candidate withdraw from the training or have their employment terminated for any reason while in the academy, the trainee shall be responsible for repayment of the training at an amount of $1,513.95 within 90 days.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Applicants must be at least 18 years of age as mandated by State Vehicle codes.
· Applicants must have the necessary practical skills, motivation, and mental attitude necessary to complete the Academy. Trainees must adhere to the physical performance guidelines as outlined in the Pennsylvania Department of Health Functional Position Description for BLS Provider. In addition, the trainee must possess the perseverance to provide quality, evidence supported patient care under difficult situations.
· As a result of the need to be patient facing, all trainees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have appropriate documents religious or medical exemption.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
· Valid PA Driver License (minimum class C)
· Must have current and be eligible for renewal the following clearances (must be dated within 90 days):
o Pennsylvania Act 33 - PA Child Abuse Clearance

Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.

Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).

* You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
* You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medicalemergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
* You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
* You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.

Responsibilities:
Reads and documents in all communication logs and informs the nurse when needed
Effectively completes incident reports per company policy
Accurately dispenses, passes medications & documents in the MAR, absent of errors
Accurately assists residents with self-administration of medications
Accurately counts narcotics in accordance with company policy
Honors personhood by reading and knowing the Residents' Life Stories
Actively involved in the life enrichment program
Is compliant with company training requirements
Demonstrates a high level of safety and privacy of resident information in all work practices
Champions “follow-through” on all delegated tasks from the Director of Wellness
Assists residents in accordance with their individual service (care) plans to include: personal care and activities of daily living (eating, drinking, walking, and transferring) and use of adaptive equipment (hearing aids, glasses, and dentures)
Complies with company Mission, Values, and Principles of Service, policies and procedures, and applicable laws
Communicates and interacts in a professional, respectful, and hospitable manner with residents, families, and team members
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous Med Passer experience required
Ability to read, write, speak & understand the English language
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
Ability to make decisions and act in the resident's best interest
Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)
Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors
Competent in organizational and time management skills
