Position Summary
The Surgical Technician assists with the nursing care of the patients in the OR by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policy and procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse at all times. Serves as a scrub nurse, but not independently as a circulating nurse. Other duties include stocking, replenishing, preparing, and/or selecting supplies and equipment for storage or use during surgical procedures. Assists with housekeeping functions to maintain cleanliness in the OR. Activities are directed toward achieving desired patient outcomes. Demonstrates the ability to interpret information to identify the patient's age specific needs and provides appropriate care for the age group in question. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school graduate or GED, Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent
Certifications: On The Job Training Basic Life Support
Preferred Requirements

Summary/Objective

Prepares patient for stress testing procedure; including patient interviews, obtaining medical history, obtaining patient consent and required signatures, and conducting patient teaching related to nuclear imaging procedure, including risks and complications.
Assesses patients' blood pressure, pulse, obtains oxygen % saturation levels and establishes Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
Sets up and monitors patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead EKG monitor pads and application leads.
Identifies EKG rhythm and interpretation under physician guidance.
Under the direct supervision of the site physician, applies ACLS algorithms if patients experience complications or cardiac arrest during procedure including administration of resuscitation pharmacological agents, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway placement.
Completes daily paperwork at customer site to include obtaining physician signature(s), photocopying, scanning, etc.
Maintains inventory of supplies and drugs at hub and on mobile unit.
Complies with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Greet our patients and customers as they enter the store, identify patients' need to ensure an easy and memorable experience while providing promotional products and services available. Answer customers' inquiries and gather necessary information to facilitate sales.
* Foster a strong partnership between the retail team and professional services.
* Schedule and confirm appointments, enter new patient history and personal information in the system, complete pre-test; obtain brief medical history, complete noncontact tonometry auto refraction, visual acuity, color test, stereopsis test, amsler grid test, etc.
* Assist Management Team with patient complaint resolution and inform the status of all jobs; ensure all patient expectations are met.
* Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary.
* Execute simple customer repairs, assemble lenses into frames and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses, and ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
* Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area, and notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
* Keep track of delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised) to ensure 100% compliance.
