Essential Job Functions
* Due to the limited number of personnel, there is the expectation that a person in this role can perform essential individual and team-based firefighting skills. As a result, a person in this position must demonstrate competency in all listed BFD Probationary Firefighter Skills within 12 months.
* Within 6 months, perform as a primary care attendant on medical calls, consistent with how taught by the Burlington Fire Department and in accordance with VT EMS protocols specific to the level of licensure. This includes providing verbal and written patient care reports and collaborating with co-workers to provide appropriate patient care during emergency incidents.
* During the first 90 days, a person in this position is expected to quickly learn department and city policies and procedures, which will be evidenced by meeting performance and conduct expectations with minimal intervention.
* By the end of the 12-month probationary period, demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of fire department tools and equipment.
* During the first 12 months, learn to drive and operate fire department apparatus, completing tasks as taught in the BFD Fire Academy, with minimal assistance required. This includes maintaining a knowledge of the city layout and streets and is demonstrated by driving apparatus to and from incidents with minimal direction from other crew members.
* Proactively deal with problems at an emergency incident and in and around the fire stations, working with team members to implement immediate solutions. This includes many times when there are limited resources and a need to make instant decisions with incomplete information.
* One of our greatest challenges is completing physically demanding tasks with limited resources and often when sleep-deprived and/or physically exhausted. The pace can be intense, and the expectation is that work will be completed with professionalism.
* By the end of 24 months, a person in this role is required to obtain AEMT licensure.

* Within 6 months, perform as a primary care attendant on medical calls, consistent with how taught by the Burlington Fire Department and in accordance with VT EMS protocols specific to the level of licensure. This includes providing verbal and written patient care reports and collaborating with co-workers to provide appropriate patient care during emergency incidents.
* During the first 90 days, a person in this position is expected to quickly learn department and city policies and procedures, which will be evidenced by meeting performance and conduct expectations with minimal intervention.
* By the end of the 12-month probationary period, demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of fire department tools and equipment.
* During the first 12 months, learn to drive and operate fire department apparatus, completing tasks as taught in the BFD Fire Academy, with minimal assistance required. This includes maintaining a knowledge of the city layout and streets and is demonstrated by driving apparatus to and from incidents with minimal direction from other crew members.
* Proactively deal with problems at an emergency incident and in and around the fire stations, working with team members to implement immediate solutions. This includes many times when there are limited resources and a need to make instant decisions with incomplete information.
* One of our greatest challenges is completing physically demanding tasks with limited resources and often when sleep-deprived and/or physically exhausted. The pace can be intense, and the expectation is that work will be completed with professionalism.
* By the end of 24 months, a person in this role is required to obtain AEMT licensure.

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Phlebotomists to support the Sepulveda VA Clinic located at 16111 Plummer St, North Hills, CA 91343. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. Responsibilities
Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures
Performs all standard laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy such as correcting patient identification, proper collection of samples (volume, tube type, temperature and/or timing conditions) and collection of specimens for urinalysis, 24-hour urines, toxicology and microbiological (sputum and urine), all defined within the standard operating procedures
Must accession all specimens in receiving area and ensure timely transport and distribution of specimens to all sections of the laboratory for immediate processing and testing; if unable to deliver samples due to peak workloads, contacts sectional personnel to transport samples
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (i.e. CPT I/II licensing in California)
Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent)
American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist
2-3 years of phlebotomist experience in an acute care setting is preferred
Proficiency in the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws

Pay Range: $15.90 - $27.12 hourly
All candidates must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
Lift up to 20 lbs
Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Certified Phlebotomy Tech Per Diem
Emergency medical technician job in Anaheim, CA
Assists Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the processing of specimens for testing. Assists pathologist and pathology staff. Primary duties are computer entry, specimen processing, clerical, answering phones and phlebotomy support. Must maintain working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- ARMC. The employee shall support AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center's strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.
