Who We're Looking For:
Certified Surgical Technologist: Must hold a degree in Surgical Technology and be certified or eligible to be certified through the NBSTSA. Certification through the NCCT may be acceptable depending on territory assigned.
Adaptable and Travel-Ready: Comfortable with driving to various locations in assigned territory and staying overnight when needed. All travel expenses are covered (hotel stays, gas for company vehicle, and meal allowances while traveling)
Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships quickly with surgeons and their teams.
Self-assured: Able to thrive in high-pressure environments with confidence and professionalism.
Organized and Detail-Oriented: Skilled at managing equipment and completing administrative tasks required to support assigned territory.
Operating Room Experience: Ophthalmic experience is a plus, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/driving record.

Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as an ER Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have, obtaining patient vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being.
As an ER Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Clean and bandage wounds.
Provide IV therapy.
Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
• Triage and Patient Assessment:
- Perform initial assessments of patients presenting in the ER, including triaging based on the severity of their condition.
- Evaluate patient history, conduct physical assessments, and identify urgent health issues to prioritize care.
- Collect patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and other relevant data to determine immediate care needs.
• Emergency Care and Treatment:
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed, including intravenous (IV) fluids, antibiotics, pain management, and other emergencymedications.
- Perform wound care, splinting, suturing, and other interventions as needed for trauma or injury patients.
- Provide emergency life-saving interventions, including CPR, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and trauma care.
- Assist in resuscitation efforts, including managing ventilators, intubation, and defibrillation when necessary.
• Collaboration with Medical Team:
- Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with diagnostic testing, such as lab work, imaging (X-rays, CT scans), and electrocardiograms (ECGs), based on patient needs.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with the healthcare team, updating them on changes in patient status and discussing care options.
• Monitoring and Documentation:
- Continuously monitor patients' conditions, noting changes in vital signs, mental status, and symptoms.

Purpose of this position
The purpose of this position is to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process under the supervision of an occupational therapist; participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Follow physicians' orders for resident care and follow directions of the occupational therapist.
· Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities.
· Provide appropriate treatment, preventative measures and adaptive equipment to prevent decline in residents' function.
· Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
· Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' function.
· Observe infection control procedures.
· Be responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision.
· Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
· Observe all facility policies and procedures.
· Observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
· Observe guidelines in the employees' handbook.
· Follow facility Residents' Rights policies.
· Adhere to Corporate Compliance Program Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
· Attend Corporate Compliance Program in servicing as required.
· Comply with facility policies and procedures against discrimination and sexual harassment.
· Protect the privacy of resident Protected Health Information.
· Protect the confidentiality and security of all resident and facility information.
· Come to work in clean, neat attire and consistently present a professional appearance.
· Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
· Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
· Preform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
· Preform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
· Support and respect other employees.
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential physical and intellectual duty as identified. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
· Communication/Language Skills - Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical information. Ability to effectively communicate with residents, their families and other healthcare professionals. Ability to present information to supervisor.
· Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
· Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
