**FUNCTION:**

Assessment and treatment of routine, urgent and emergentmedical and mental health care concerns as per NYS EMT protocol and Vassar College policies and under the guidance of a Vassar College Health Service provider.
Perform CLIA waived testing including but not limited to: flu, strep, rapid COVID, and urine dips under the clinical direction and training of a Vassar College Health Service provider.
Support Health Service after hours by conducting outreach to patients either virtually or in-person.
Assist with medical records management and compliance by reviewing and validating medical documents including, but not limited to vaccination records and newly enrolled student medical entry forms.
Provide welfare checks with Campus Safety officers for at risk students who may be identified by Health Services, Counseling Services, Case Management, or others.
Provide emergencymedical response support during select campus events.
Provide first aid care for worker's compensation injuries and initiate documentation process and notification of appropriate personnel.
Perform contact tracing for infectious diseases such as COVID-19 when indicated.
Serve as clinical support for Vassar College emergencymedical services organization during emergencymedical calls.
Attend any mandatory training and/or Quality Improvement committee meetings.
Maintain necessary emergency response equipment, inventory and supplies.
Complete routine AED and CPR station checks and maintain inventory.
Follow all regulations regarding OSHA and hazardous waste disposal.
Follow all HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
Monitor and respond to the Health Service email account.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by Health Service staff members to support the departmental operations.

The Firefighter/ EmergencyMedicalTechnician (EMT) responds to fire, medical and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) emergencies for the purpose of saving lives and protecting Pratt and Whitney property.
What You Will Do:
Respond to emergencies such as fire, hazmat and disaster by deploying equipment, assist in organizing and directing others and carrying out rescues using a variety of protective gear and specialized equipment.
Respond to a wide variety of emergencymedical incidents. Provide medical care consistent with EmergencyMedicalTechnicians (EMT) training. Supports paramedic on Advance Life Support (ALS) response and will be tasked with ambulance transport.
Drive Fire apparatus including pumpers, rescue/hazmat vehicles, ambulance or service vehicles to transport material, equipment, and personnel to fire, accident, disaster or other scenes requiring assistance.
Implementing initial scene operations, operating pumps, ventilation, conducting confine space rescue, fire attacks, hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents and assisting with salvage and overhaul operations
Carry out inspection and testing of a variety of facilities and equipment, tools and fire protection devices, chemicals and support devices. May assist with fire investigation when requested.
Test and repair firefighting equipment and perform condition status checks recommending overhaul and refurbishing actions to restore deficient operating parameters.
Perform routine servicing and maintenance throughout the facilities for assigned area, equipment and vehicles following specified procedures and check list, clean facilities, vehicles and equipment and painting, observation, training and related activities.
Carry out other tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description to develop individuals' skills and support objectives of the unit.
May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, certifications and operator permits for specialized assignment and to conform with governmental and company regulations.
Physically be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, drag fully charged hose lines, assist in carrying patients and endure extreme physical effort in hazardous conditions while on a Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
