Compensation : $21.22+ per hour
We're hiring Advanced EmergencyMedicalTechnicians (AEMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities:
Advanced EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Performs such activities as application of splints, administration of oxygen or intravenous injections, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of artificial resuscitation.
Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate Advanced EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
Advanced EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergencymedical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
Other Responsibilities:
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
State Driver's License
State certified Advanced EMT
CPR/BLS certifications
Driving record in compliance with company policy
Pass Physical Agility Test
Some work experience, preferably in healthcare

Key Responsibilities:
Managing transport equipment.

Job Details
CHA provides 24-hour emergency care at our Cambridge and Everett Hospitals. We are one of the busiest emergency services in Massachusetts with approximately 100,000 combined annual visits and have been recognized nationally as one of the most efficient emergency services in the nation. Highlights include a state-of-the-art patient triage and tracking system, a streamlined admission process that helps us get the sickest patients to a hospital bed sooner, rapid assessment protocol to help prioritize our work, a BIDMC tele-stroke program, and an integrated Psychiatric Emergency Services at Cambridge Hospital.
The Emergency Department RN will be responsible for the following: Will provide quality care to acute patients and their families according to Cambridge Health Alliance standards of nursing practice. Will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care in a professional manner. Will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment with rapid patient turnover.
Qualifications/Experience:
RN must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Current MA RN license required.
1 - 2 years of Emergency RN experience preferred.
American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
TNCC preferred.
Basic computer EMR proficiency required.
All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical agility exam.
Newly hired experienced RNs interested in committing to a minimum of two years of employment at Cambridge Health Alliance, may be eligible to receive a retention bonus of $10,000. Part-time employees may be eligible for a prorated retention bonus.

As an ACS Level III-N Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center affiliated with Mass General, it offers high-acuity care, complemented by a secure 6-bed behavioral health unit for psychiatric emergencies. To handle rising patient volumes, the department uses hallway beds and a triage fast-track area staffed by Providers in Triage (PIT). Our multidisciplinary team-comprising RNs, LNAs, providers, paramedics, Health Unit Coordinators, psychiatric clinicians, and behavioral health professionals-operates around the clock to provide compassionate, expert care to over 37,000 patients annually. About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Emergency Services Registered Nurse cares for pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries or trauma. The ED Nurse specializes in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients in situations that require critical clinical decision-making skills. The registered nurse successfully completes a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in serving the Emergency Services patient population.
