- Provide Assessment, treatment and consult to psychiatric patients presenting in the Emergency Room
- Works collaboratively with the Attending Psychiatrist and members of the medical staff
- Educate and mentor junior medical staff and students
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Master’s Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
Licensed to practice as a NYS Nurse Practitioner with Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Active X-Waiver Preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Clinical Assoc. Lead Advanced Practice Provider role is to provide shift accountability for the clinical, administrative and human resources activities for the Advanced Practice Provider Services (APPs), as well as provide support to the Chief. Additionally, will practice in an advanced role and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family/patient centered appropriate patient care within the designated service area. Responsibilities In this role, provides oversight and leadership for
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
