Hospitalists working at this location are employees of Nationwide Children's Hospital. Full-time (eight 24-hour shifts per month) and part-time positions are available. Responsibilities of the Pediatric Hospitalist include attendance at high-risk deliveries & C-sections, admissions, and daily rounding on Special Care Nursery (level I), and well-baby (mother/infant) units. Daily rounding on pediatric inpatient unit and general pediatric Emergency Department consultations for admissions and/or transfers. Procedures would include, but are not limited to, intubation, surfactant administration, insertion of umbilical lines, circumcisions, chest tube/needle decompressions, and neonatal resuscitation. Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, NRP & PALS certified, patient-centered, and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric care. Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is not required. The position offers a competitive salary, a generous sign-on bonus and excellent benefits package.
