Currently, we have 18 clinics located throughout Southern CA and Central CA to serve all your urgent care needs. We are hiring a full-time Urgent Care Staff Physician for our Fresno locations. Additionally, we are offering a Medical Directorship for any physician candidate looking to grow within our organization. Key Responsibilities: Urgent Care Medicine, practicing twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break.? Full-time will be 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts per month, and managing up to 4 mid-level providers. Treat 4 patients per hour, from newborns to geriatrics (full-spectrum care), in a low-acuity setting. Bread & Butter Procedures: I&Ds, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair. Equipment: In-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray. All X-rays are over-read by a Board-Certified Radiologist, with results available within 20 minutes for routine orders. Evaluate the appropriateness of diagnoses billed for all services in accordance with coding guidelines. valuate the appropriateness of E&M level of service billed based on the supporting documentation, in accordance with current AMA standards.Conduct educational documentation and coding training for providers to support compliance with third party documentation and billing standards. Create tracking tools to capture and document audit results on an ongoing basis, for reporting and historical lookback purposes. Prepare formalized reports of audit results and present findings to Leadership and Medical Directors, potentially providers. Respond to questions from providers and the billing team regarding billing, coding, and documentation. Develop educational programs for providers based on audit findings along with general education on coding and documentation rules and regulations. Perform follow up reviews after initial training of providers to determine if additional education is necessary. Provide any additional training once identified by follow-up review. Communicate regularly with internal departments to ensure all necessary information is received on a timely basis. Communicate and problem solve with Medical Directors and Leadership on specific coding issues and/or training requests. Work on joint projects with other internal staff and departments to resolve billing and documentation issues. General Perform any and all other assigned responsibilities.
