Telephone and Data Systems emergency preparedness coordinator job description

As the Coordinator-Emergency Standards, you are the go to person for 911 process and procedures within TDS, external vendors and local and state government agencies. You will ensure accuracy of database entries between entities. In addition, you will ensure all processes and procedures are developed and maintained so that other resource within TDS can assist with processing 911 requests. Finally, you will ensure that the internal and external standards for 911/E911 and Number Management functions are met and handles escalations in these areas.

This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS Telecom operates.

+ Procedures - Develop and maintained procedures to handle 911 issues, 911 reporting and 911 database entry.

+ Reporting - Works with agencies internally and externally to make database updates and corrections. Develops and maintains reports to ensure entry accuracy.

+ Escalations - Act as the first and second level for all 911 escalations for internal co-workers, external vendors and state and local government agencies.

+ Continuous Process Improvement - participate in projects and activities related to the implementation and billing of E911 services with a constant focus on process improvement.

+ Miscellaneous 911 tasks - assist in the coordination and communication of changes to Regulatory rules affecting Contact Center activities.
Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree or higher OR 4 years professional work experience.

+ Working knowledge of local tariffs

Coordinates the development, maintenance, and testing of an emergency management program. Provides necessary project management and support for all emergency preparedness sub-committee agenda items as needed.

Responsibilities:

Officer:
