Position OverviewThe Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will provide full-scope anesthesia services to Veterans at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center. This role supports a physician-supervised anesthesia care team and requires a highly skilled, board-certified professional capable of delivering safe, effective, and timely anesthesia care in both OR and selected non-OR settings. The CRNA will adhere to all VA policies, VHA directives, and facility medical staff bylaws while providing care that meets or exceeds national anesthesia standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties-Deliver anesthesia care across 10 operating rooms and multiple non-OR procedural areas, including ECT, IR, MRI, GI, pulmonary, and cath lab.-Provide anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical specialties, including urology, orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, vascular, cardiothoracic, ENT, plastics, and ophthalmology.-Assist with inpatient and outpatient pre-operative screening assessments as needed.-Document all care in the VA's electronic health record (CPRS) according to facility guidelines.-Maintain compliance with national standards established by ASA, AANA, Joint Commission, and AHA.-Uphold patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, and all clinical quality expectations.-Manage an average caseload of approximately 23 cases per month per FTE.-Work collaboratively under physician supervision, typically in a 1:2-3 CRNA-to-physician ratio.

Job Description
Emergency room (ER) nurses care for patients with a wide array of needs, ranging from broken bones to life-threatening illnesses. ER nurses are often the first line of defense in triaging and implementing critical, time-sensitive care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Triage:
Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity
Assess and triage incoming patients based on illness or injury severity
Assess and triage patients quickly to determine the severity of their condition
Analyze complex medical situations and make rapid decisions to initiate appropriate interventions
Clinical Care:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Monitor patient vital signs and document medical information
Administer life-sustaining medications, resuscitative IV fluids, and blood products
Perform diagnostic tests and assist with bedside procedures to stabilize critically ill patients
Emergency Procedures:
Perform tracheotomies and intubations
Common responsibilities include bone setting, blood transfusions, wound care, medication administration
cleaning and dressing wounds, inserting intravenous lines, drawing blood and administering medications
Provide wound care and emergency interventions
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and healthcare team members
Collaborate with the emergency room multidisciplinary team to establish treatment goals and develop care plans
Work with ER staff to stabilize incoming patients
Communicate effectively with patients and families during high-stress situations
Documentation:
Monitor vital signs and document findings in the electronic health record (EHR)
an Emergency Room Nurse will chart vitals and monitor the patient's condition like a typical Registered Nurse (RN)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in compact state or ability to obtain licensure in assignment states
Previous healthcare experience
Current BLS certification

PALS certification preferred

As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:
Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
Assist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.
Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.
Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's

American Heart BLS Certification
Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs
Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
Must possess a smart phone

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care
Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound
Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
