The ICU Registered Nurse performs initial assessment and documents appropriately for the level of care appropriate to the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, age development level, and cultural and religious orientation. Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Completes health assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures
• Communicates with consulting medical providers to coordinate care with appropriate medical care as necessary and documents all referrals
• Monitors the storage, distribution, control preparation and dispensing of medication in collaboration with Pharmacy Contractor and Medical Staff
• Prepares the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
• Provides patient education regarding medications
Education/Experience
Education: College, Bachelors preferred
Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN)
Experience: 5 years working within a medical facility, preferably alcohol and drug treatment/mental health
Sound knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in work processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, EMR, TIER or similar and Microsoft Office Suite) required
