Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, evenings Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3160.00 Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work in 21-bed operating room with 1:1 patient ratio • Variable start times for day shifts (5:30 AM - 7:00 AM) • PM shift times depend on specific position requirements • 2 years of experience required • Must have strong proficiency in NEURO/ENT surgical cases • CNOR certification preferred • Must know how to scrub • Must know robots (XI) - facility does not train agency staff on robots unless strong background and extended contract • Required certifications: RN license and BLS • Handle neuro/ENT spine surgeries including laminectomies, ALIFs, fusions, and discectomies • Perform cranial surgeries for tumors, VP shunts, subdural cases, and EVDs • Assist with ENT procedures including neck dissections with flaps, sinus surgery with Stealth Navigation, and basic ENT cases • Work with navigation systems including Medtronic (cranial & spine), Medtronic Stealth (ENT), Stryker & Synaptive Navigation • Handle orthopedic cases including fractures, anterior hips, total joints, ortho spine, hand/podiatry procedures • Assist with general cases including breast/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary, and gynecology • Work with equipment including Hanna Table, EPIC charting system, Alaris, and Pyxis • Cross-trained to General Main OR specialty and Urology center • No floating to other hospitals or sites • On-call requirements with 30-minute response time and 8-week call schedule • Orientation period of 1-1.5 weeks depending on team and shift • Surgical scrubs provided by hospital; scrub caps allowed but must be covered by surgical bouffant Facility: This healthcare facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet Designation and Primary Stroke Center status. The facility operates a comprehensive 636-bed medical center with a robust surgical program featuring 21 operating room beds. The organization maintains advanced surgical capabilities including robotic surgery, navigation systems, and specialized programs across multiple surgical specialties. The facility provides extensive support staff including charge nurses, leads, supervisors, and management teams to ensure quality patient care and staff support.
