This full-time opportunity functions in our state-of-the-art 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center as an Alarm Monitoring Representative working a Mid-Shift, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule which includes holidays and weekends.
Alarm Monitoring Operators are responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by accurately and efficiently responding to alarm signals. They are responsible for managing alarm events, verifying security information, notifying and updating emergency services such as fire and police agencies and ensuring customers are properly notified of events. This includes answering a multi-line telephone system and performing data entry. Our job duty is similar to those of a 911 emergency dispatcher. We must be attentive and perform procedures with a quick and accurate response as our industry is life safety.
Your essential functions will include:
Respond to all incoming alarm signals in our automation software according to documented procedures. When deemed appropriate, calls the premise, notifies the authorities, and calls a list of contacts. Logs all information into the automation system immediately and accurately
Answers the multi-line telephone system
Ensures confidentiality of customer information at all times

**Primary Function/General Purpose of Position**
The ED Tech provides direct patient care under the guidance of a RN or designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.
**Essential Job Functions**
· Provides basic patient care and tasks to include, but not limited to, care and comfort, vital sign measurement, personal care and hygiene, assists with mobility, performs lab draws, ECG's, basic wound care, and other unit-based specialty duties under the direction of an RN.
· Completes patient rounding as assigned.
· Provides 1:1 patient safety companion service as needed.
· Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
· Provides high level customer service to all patients, patient's families, community providers, visitors, and employees.
· Provides accurate, precise, timely documentation as applicable to patient care.
· Participates in handoff report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs upon arrival and when leaving.
· Performs delegated tasks once competency has been validated.
· Collects data, within scope.
· Completes patient screenings as applicable.
· Promotes quality and safety by seeking to continually improve the processes and systems to enhance patient care delivery.
· Demonstrates the ability to work independently, problem solve, and be able to resolve conflict while working under considerable stress.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Emergency Services Dispatcher, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
* Answering 911 calls
* Working with emergency services dispatch equipment
* Providing instruction on emergency medical procedures
* Interpreting pertinent laws and regulations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Incumbent must successfully complete any and all required training, to include being certified at the Telecommunicator I & II levels and Hazardous Material Awareness within 9 months of being placed in this position. Failure to do so may result in removal from federal service.
2. Within one year, incumbent must obtain and maintain Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification.
3. Within six months, incumbent must obtain certification to operate the Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN), in accordance with Pennsylvania State Police - Bureau of Communications and Information Services - Operator Certification Manual Appendix E, Oct 2013.
