Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for selling Alkermes products in the Bethesda territory and supporting promotional efforts. Ideal candidates should be proven sales achievers and live in the territory. This will be done by having thorough product, disease state and market knowledge and sound selling skills. He/she will utilize available resources to help educate healthcare providers. Finally, he/she will use their analytical ability to determine appropriate targets and will use approved resources accordingly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS is required
2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience required
Must live within the geography of responsibility
Driver's license must be in good standing
Must be able to demonstrate or secure appropriate credentialing, as may be required by healthcare providers for physical access to their facilities

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $125k to $155k. The TBM will demonstrate a strong understanding of all aspects of Alkermes products, related disease states and related products in the marketplace
The TBM will demonstrate strong selling skills through the use of approved sales aids, approved studies and reprints and through superior communication and listening skills with targeted healthcare providers. He/she will use selling skills that demonstrate competent use of all facets of the Alkermes selling model. He/she will demonstrate an ability to gain agreement for increase product use with appropriate patients from target healthcare providers
The TBM will demonstrate strong territory management skills by identifying and calling on appropriate numbers of healthcare provider targets with the required frequency to assure proper usage of Alkermes products. He/she will continually develop, review, update and maintain healthcare provider target lists based on the latest information and data
He/she will utilize all available resources and programs (samples, Promotional Speaker Programs, etc.) to increase their business. He/she is prepared to discuss all aspects of territory business with District Business Leader (DBL) at any time
The TBM will develop business plans as required by the DBL and will perform all administrative tasks requested in a timely, accurate and truthful manner
The TBM will exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, and entertainment)
The TBM will demonstrate an ability to work productively with individuals in related positions including but not limited to other representatives, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, and Key Accounts and headquarter personnel

Responsibilities:
Successfully meet and exceed established sales budgets with accountability for territory results.
Drive appropriate utilization of approved products with (but not limited to) Heart Failure (HF) specialists, cardiology, nephrology, emergency medicine, nurse practitioners, HF clinic staff, and all other health care professionals within assigned accounts.
Apply understanding and knowledge of heart failure and marketplace to effectively manage business opportunities and challenges.
Provide relevant, thoughtful input to Regional Sales Director and other commercial and medical colleagues on field-based knowledge for potential strategic and tactical planning for territory, region and nation.

Required Expertise Competencies:

1-year Institutional sales experience preferred. IDN experience is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of high achievement as demonstrated in top 30% ranking 2 of last 5 years.
Experience with product launch. Experience in Medicare population is a plus.

The expected annual salary range for Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $89,816 to $109,775. The expected annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $114,836 to $140,356. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Lead Elrexfio global brand stewardship and manage robust lifecycle to drive value creation for the mid-to-long term horizon
+ Own Elrexfio global launch strategy for double-class exposed (DCE) and newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM), inclusive of brand positioning and messaging, market development, customer specific strategies, and launch sequence.
+ Drive thought leadership on lifecycle commercial potential, including key risks and opportunities, by collaborating closely with R&D, Regulatory, Global Access & Value, Global Medical Affairs, CSI, Customer Analytics & Insights, Finance, PGS, US Marketing, and the International Division.

In this vital role you will provide logistical, non-medical educational assistance to patients and caregivers as well as office and site of care staff, including physicians, nurses, office managers and executives. Strong knowledge and demonstrated history of access and
reimbursement for buy and bill/infused pharmaceutical products is required. The PAL works in highly visible, strong team environment to provide exceptional customer service on all levels. The PAL will work with the patient, the physician and the Site of Care to educate on next steps required to gain
access to therapy. The PAL will also work to maintain relationships with patients and families, and by extension physicians and their staff and cross-functional partners to support ongoing compliance with therapy. The PAL will work with numerous internal teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs,
Advocacy, Marketing, and Site of Care to facilitate and improve patient access to insurance, medications, financial support, resources and more.
* Secure written or electronic patient HIPAA for patients in the assigned geography
* Develop relationships with patients and caregivers by engaging via phone, text, email, virtual or in person connections
* Assess individual needs of the patient and develop an appropriate education and resource plan of action, considering the patient's family and team of healthcare providers to empower the patient to become their own advocate
* Educate the patient on UPLIZNA coverage based on their benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access
* Provide information on co-pay assistance programs, national foundations, and free drug programs by sharing information to patients as appropriate and needed
* Provide proactive education to prescribers and sites of care upon patient enrollment on coverage for Horizon rare disease therapies, common prior authorization requirements, and coding and billings requirements
* Provide access and reimbursement education based on the enrolled patient's UPLIZNA benefits to physician offices and sites of care
* Educate the physician office and/or SOC on UPLIZNA coverage based on the patient's benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access
* Investigate access challenges pre and post-infusion to include support for denied claims and claim reviews
* Partner with Safety and PV and report AE's and product complaints through medical information.
* Work closely with the Horizon cross functional team including Case Managers, the Site of Care team, market access, matrix partners and external vendors
* Adhere to professional standards compliance guidance, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements

Job Description
This unique opportunity supports the Baltimore Geography covering the state of Maryland with the exception of the Washington DC Suburbs.
Responsible for representing Oncology products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area
Prepare a business plan for your territory to achieve goals and initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans.

The salary range for this position is: $153,935.00 - $199,210.00. In this vital role you will provide logistical, non-medical educational assistance to patients and caregivers as well as office and site of care staff, including physicians, nurses, office managers and executives. Strong knowledge and demonstrated history of access and
reimbursement for buy and bill/infused pharmaceutical products is required. The PAL works in highly visible, strong team environment to provide exceptional customer service on all levels. The PAL will work with the patient, the physician and the Site of Care to educate on next steps required to gain
access to therapy. The PAL will also work to maintain relationships with patients and families, and by extension physicians and their staff and cross-functional partners to support ongoing compliance with therapy. The PAL will work with numerous internal teams, including Market Access, Medical Affairs,
Advocacy, Marketing, and Site of Care to facilitate and improve patient access to insurance, medications, financial support, resources and more.
Secure written or electronic patient HIPAA for patients in the assigned geography
Develop relationships with patients and caregivers by engaging via phone, text, email, virtual or in person connections
Assess individual needs of the patient and develop an appropriate education and resource plan of action, considering the patient's family and team of healthcare providers to empower the patient to become their own advocate
Educate the patient on UPLIZNA coverage based on their benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access
Provide information on co-pay assistance programs, national foundations, and free drug programs by sharing information to patients as appropriate and needed
Provide proactive education to prescribers and sites of care upon patient enrollment on coverage for Horizon rare disease therapies, common prior authorization requirements, and coding and billings requirements
Provide access and reimbursement education based on the enrolled patient's UPLIZNA benefits to physician offices and sites of care
Educate the physician office and/or SOC on UPLIZNA coverage based on the patient's benefits and the steps needed to gain prior authorization to ensure understanding of the process for medication access
Investigate access challenges pre and post-infusion to include support for denied claims and claim reviews
Partner with Safety and PV and report AE's and product complaints through medical information.
Work closely with the Horizon cross functional team including Case Managers, the Site of Care team, market access, matrix partners and external vendors
Adhere to professional standards compliance guidance, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements
