The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will be expected to participate in projects to support our drive for improvement in supplier on-time delivery, service level, inventory days, new product launches, and cost reduction initiatives. This position will work closely with customers, Scheduling, Customer Service, Sales and Suppliers. They will understand the operation of Emerson's Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) portal to ship to suppliers and/or customers.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Creating shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
Accessing and schedule shipments through customer transportation websites as well as Emerson's SCO.
Routing outgoing shipments through various weight forwarders and schedules and contacts carrier representatives to arrange the shipping of freight.
Overseeing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) for shipping.
Directing shipping forklift driver.
Properly identifying shipping documents on outbound/inbound shipping forms.
Ordering, reordering, and assembly of containers, packaging, and shipping supplies such as boxes, bags, pallets, and customer containers as needed. Both Urick packaging and customer owned packaging.
Acting as customer Point-of-Contact for shipping-related matters.
Supervising and coordination of Rapid Urick's local carrier.
Maintaining accurate logs of maintenance for Urick Truck and coordination with lease company on additional services.
Maintaining accurate daily shipping and inventory information and instructions using computer and Odyssey, Urick's ERP system, and Kanban inventory system.
Working with Quality personnel to resolve supplier quality issues.
Communicating accurate order and shipment details to Customer Service.
Ordering and coordinating shipping of materials for production.
Receiving of all inbound materials such as production materials, maintenance materials or packaging materials.

+ Provide process and product technical leadership for the Castings commodity, including SX or equiax investment castings.

+ Partner with suppliers to identify and implement corrective actions to eliminate the cause and prevent recurrence.
+ Act as a change agent to advance world-class performance and standard work across the supply base.
+ Own supplier technical relationships; mentor suppliers on GE Aerospace processes, specifications, and methods; ensure compliance and capability.
+ Lead cross-functional problem solving, to identify true root cause and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
+ Improve manufacturability through design-for-casting, specification clarity, and process capability improvements.

**Minimum Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials/Metallurgy, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
+ Minimum of 5 years of materials engineering, castings, mechanical engineering or a related field

+ Additive manufacturing experience.
+ Metal Injection Molding (MIM) experience.
+ Proficiency with Siemens NX or comparable CAD.

Repair refractory in ABB furnace, Ajax furnace, 2-ton ladle and 6-ton ladles.

Draw metal samples from ABB or Ajax furnace and deliver to the Met Lab.
Deliver iron to the Asea furnace via the transfer car.
Operate fork lift truck, JLG lifting device, and Bobcat skid steer.
Participate in ABB furnace reline operation.
Skim slag from the top of the ABB and Ajax furnaces and the ladles.
Perform a daily safety inspection of Lift Truck, Monorail Crane, Service Crane, and Yard Crane.
Be trained in all equipment operation and refractory repair procedures.
Perform all daily functions safely and with integrity.
Practice the principles of 5S+1 as required in the department.
Other duties as assigned.
