As an EHS physician, you will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, clinical support staff, psychologists, and physical therapists. EHS physicians also hold faculty positions within the Emory School of Medicine. Specific duties include performing history and physical examinations and consultations as an adult general internist for both acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting appropriate screening and diagnostic evaluations, providing clinical preventive services, communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans, timely documentation in the electronic health record, coordinating care between EHS and specialists, collaborating with corporate leadership, and participating in health services improvement initiatives. Patient encounters will be completed either in-person or via telehealth. The EHS physician will have 5 clinic sessions per week at our EHS clinics and will provide float coverage at either clinic as needed. There is shared responsibility for night and weekend call among EHS physicians and no clinic sessions on weekends. Requirements: M.D. or D.O. with a current, unrestricted GA state medical license (preferred); BC/BE in internal medicine or family medicine. NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
