Additional Duties: + Works with the Vice Chair of Research to manage the Department's Research portfolio + Works with the post-award specialists to solve problems, answer questions, and give guidance on grants management topics + Works with PIs and their team members to jointly solve questions and challenges in their daily work. + Communicate with PIs on a regular basis regarding budget and expense adjustments and revisions. + Reviews effort reports and manages quarterly effort certification process. + Assists faculty/PI in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals. + Assists the PI in the development of budgets and budget justification which includes proofing the budget for inconsistencies and ensuring accuracy. + Monitors proposal status + Assists with the review of other support pages for accuracy in reporting + Works effectively with other offices (RAS, OSP, IRB, RCG) on research proposals and management. + Assists PIs with staff recruitment and development and student recruitment + Assists with faculty research recruitment + Assists with research event planning MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. In collaboration with the Director, the Sr. AD. plays a lead role in setting the program's strategy and holds responsibilities for growing the caregiver portfolio of work supporting caregivers and caregiving. The Sr. AD provides supervision and mentorship of staff, projects, and budgets, as well as administrative and programmatic oversight. The position drives the program's visibility and knowledge production overall and in key thematic areas through organizational reports, peer-reviewed publications, convening partners and facilitating expert meetings, and active engagement and advocacy with high-level partners. The role includes supervision of staff, graduate assistants, and interns. This position may require periodic international travel and re-entry into the United States. Attends educational in-services as appropriate * Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments * Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports that track program's growth and improvement for management and/or regulatory agencies * Develops and facilitates effective meetings as necessary * Performs other related duties as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field * Three years tertiary hospital or program development and planning experience * Previous management background including envisioning and coordinating successful programs well received by patients and referring physicians is important * Positions in the Heart Center prefer expertise in heart programming JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY!
