Description The Financial Informatics Business Analyst III is pivotal in coordinating projects across multi-disciplinary teams, analyzing new requests, reviewing data, and researching innovative solutions within clinical and/or business units. This role serves as an independent liaison between clinical, finance, revenue, informatics and technical teams, ensuring the compatibility and functionality of clinical systems and the financial health of the organization. The analyst champions information system improvements and supports the evolution of workflows, with a strong emphasis on ensuring that the solutions meet clinical, financial, organizational, and academic needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Analysis and Review: * As new enhancement requests are being reviewed, gather, analyze, and review data from clinical & financial systems to support prioritization of requests. * Understand workflow within Epic applications and work with analytics team to create appropriate reports to support enhancement request evaluation. * Present data analysis findings to respective leadership teams and provide recommendations based on data findings. * Data mining, Epic workflow analysis focused, designing technical solutions. Financial Informatics is key, understanding revenue cycle and patient access. * PowerBI utilization. New Request Assessment: * Independently catalog, evaluate and assist with prioritizing new system or application requests from various clinical &/or business units. Collect and catalog new enhancement requests, lead intake requests. * Lead analysis of the viability, relevance, and potential impact of new requests, including identification of key performance indicators. * Ensure that requests align with organizational needs, and coordinate with technical teams for implementation. Project Coordination Engagement: * Independently oversee and manage the coordination of enhancement requests for clinical &/or business units within the organization ensuring efficient review and implementation of enhancements. * Lead clinical groups, stakeholders, and the technical team to define enhancement scopes, objectives, and deliverables and ensure financial metrics are identified as part project intake. * Track progress, resolve issues, and ensure requests and enhancements align with the organizational goals and objectives. Facilitating Stakeholder Engagement: * Act as the primary liaison between various clinical &/or business units and technical teams. * Foster strong relationships, understand customer needs, and ensure that the technical solutions provided meet requirements. * Coordinate and lead meetings, gather feedback, and ensure clear communication between teams. * Systems Design and Implementation: * When required lead the design of solutions for new requests and define future state workflows. * Work closely with the technical team in the requirements gathering and design phases, ensuring solutions align with clinical and business needs. * Lead the implementation phase ensuring smooth adoption by end-users. Continuous Improvement: * Identify opportunities for information system improvements and advocate for necessary changes. * Regularly review and assess the performance of clinical systems, gather feedback from end-users, and work with the technical team to implement enhancements and improvements. * Work collaboratively with partner analytics and financial teams to monitor financial performance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Financial Informatics * Revenue Cycle * Patient Access * One or more Epic certifications + Epic workflow experience as an Epic Analyst, strong command of Epic standard workflows MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: * Requires a bachelor's degree in informatics, IT (Information Technology), business, healthcare (e.g. nursing, respiratory) or a related field. Completion of Epic certification and/or badges in clinical focus area. * Six years of experience in data analysis, project coordination, and collaboration with clinical, financial, and technical teams is required. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical application assessment and workflow design is required with ability to successfully tie clinical workflows to financial impact. * JUDGEMENT: The applicant should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and effectively facilitate multiple clinical groups.
