**Description**
Marcus Autism Center is conducting a search for a clinical psychologist with specialization in early identification, screening, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental disorders from birth through 21 years. This position primarily focuses on a split between diagnostic assessment and intervention. Treatment possibilities include early intervention with programs such as Project ImPACT, treatment of co-occurring anxiety with programs such as Facing your Fears and Coping Cats as well as other intervention possibilities such as treatment for co-occurring depression, executive functioning deficits and social skills training. The program stresses providing caregivers with an initial understanding of ASD and developing empirically supported treatment recommendations.
We are seeking individuals who are interested in providing a high level of clinical care and who are interested in contributing to innovative early intervention, treatment of co-occurring conditions and assessment. The psychologist will join a multidisciplinary intervention and assessment team that includes professionals from psychology, speech/language pathology, medicine, and social work. The position may involve supervision of trainees at the practicum, predoctoral, and postdoctoral level.
Successful candidates will be well-trained, possess a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, school psychology, or a related field and have completed an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship. Ideal candidates will have clinical training/background in early intervention programs, such as Project ImPACT, other intervention programs such as Facing Your Fears, PEERS and assessment of toddlers and preschoolers and be research reliable in administering the ADOS-2. In-house training and re-specialization are possible for competitive applications. Candidates must be license-eligible to practice as a psychologist in the state of Georgia.
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
A Psychologist supports and enhances the mission of the Division and Children's by providing high quality patient care in an effective and efficient manner.
1. Clinical Service:
+ Provides patient care that complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children's policies and procedures.
+ Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and empirically validated research findings into practice.
+ Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
+ Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
+ Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication in a timely manner to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
+ Provides supervision as appropriate to allied health providers and/or support staff in the clinical area.
+ Demonstrates a commitment to a model of care centered on inter-professional and collaborative teams of service delivery.
+ Embodies our guiding principles and values.
2. Research:
+ Actively supports research activities underway at Marcus Autism Center.
3. Teaching:
+ Provides direct supervision for trainees, ensuring adequate opportunities for training through teaching, patient contact, case review and research.
4.Administrative:
+ Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area and the organization overall.
+ Participates in activities that enhance professional development.
+ Completes and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the assigned area.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ PhD or PsyD.
+ License-eligible or licensed to practice as psychologist in the state of Georgia.
+ Completion of an APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship.
+ Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member.

Summary of position:
This full-time position reports to the Director of the Manhattan Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Court Clinic (Manhattan FPECC) in the Division of Correctional Health Services. The Manhattan FPECC, located in the Manhattan Criminal Court Building at 100 Centre Street, is responsible for conducting court-ordered fitness to proceed evaluations under CPL Article 730 and presentencing evaluations under CPL Article 390 for criminal defendants with cases in New York County; preparing written reports in a timely manner for submission to the Courts; and providing courtroom testimony as necessary.
Detailed Tasks:
Conduct court-ordered evaluations of criminal defendants and submit timely written reports to the Courts
Conduct psychological testing (intelligence, neuropsychological, personality, malingering, etc.) as needed
Provide teaching and supervision for clinicians in training
Participate in regular supervision with the Director of the Queens FPECC
Actively participate in staff meetings, clinic quality improvement projects, and continuing education
Remain aware of and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures
From time to time, as needed, conduct CPL 730 and CPL 390 evaluations in the other FPECC clinics (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan)

As an essential member of our patient and family centered care team, the Postdoctoral Psychological Associate provides consultation, assessments, and time-limited treatment for our patients and families. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes brief psychosocial assessments of adults and/or children in English and/or Spanish.
Provides a range of therapeutic brief interventions, including but not limited to, crisis intervention and supportive counseling, bereavement support, behavioral health screens, and follow-up sessions for patients within the scope of practice delineated by the clinical primary supervisor.
Accepts clinical warm hand-offs as requested from medical providers and support staff.
Consults, develops, and implements brief treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
Provides brief time-limited psychological interventions focused on stabilization and harm reduction using evidenced-based, short term practices to address a range of psychological symptom presentations.
Assesses, reports, and provides interventions in cases of domestic violence, child, dependent, adult or elder abuse, and other reportable situations in accordance with ethical practice, legal mandates, and RFHN's policies.

Fellows in this track will also provide psychotherapy and hold a small caseload of individual and family patients.
Track 2: Child and Adolescent Treatment
We are seeking child/adolescent fellows for a two-year position focused on evidence-based care beginning with a focus on anxiety and OCD, with an opportunity to transition to the Dialectical Behavior Therapy track after one year. The postdoc will be responsible for conducting outpatient individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, and their caregivers within a family-centered approach, and will be expected to consult and collaborate with fellow team members across disciplines. The fellow will also conduct initial psychiatric evaluations as needed, and other responsibilities based on clinic needs.
Beyond clinical and educational roles, the postdoctoral fellows will collaborate with the Ohana Clinical Team on program development for emerging evaluation programs in Ohana and for community prevention programs. The Registered Psychologist is also required to carry a caseload providing counseling and psychotherapy and may be required to co-lead therapy groups.
Under the supervision of the Psychologist, upon patient's admission, reviews any psychological testing done within the preceding two years and explains the findings to the multidisciplinary treatment team, to facilitate their understanding of the patient's emotional and behavioral issues; if patient has not been tested within the past two years, conducts a psychological assessment including clinical interview and psychological testing, as required, produces a written report, and presents the results to the multidisciplinary treatment team; based on the findings of psychological assessment, gives treatment recommendations as part of the multidisciplinary treatment, attends and participates in the multidisciplinary treatment meetings.
Maintains accurate and current documentation of all contacts with patient and significant others in the patient's clinical record; works collaboratively with the Rehabilitation Department to design and implement a behavior modification program in the Children unit incorporating the Recovery Model principles; provides individual, group and family psychotherapy as needed; provides crisis intervention for emergency situations; coordinates all psychometric activities for the multidisciplinary treatment team;
