Under the direction of an Anesthesiologist, assists in the administration of general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients.
Performs initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician.
Interprets and records patient's physiological and pharmacological status.
Assists the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
Instructs others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by the anesthesiologist.
Assists in research projects as carried out by an Anesthesiologist.
Establishes multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations, including ECG, direct arterial pressure, central venous pressure, arterial blood gas determinations, hematocrits, and routine measurement of temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate.
Establishes other monitoring as may be developed for anesthesia and intensive care use.
Manages pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilatory support of patients as assigned by an Anesthesiologist.
Manages ventilators and other respiratory care parameters as directed by the physician.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program.
Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia. Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs).

EUH & EUHM Cardiac Anesthetist Team assists in the management of patients undergoing general anesthesia for surgical procedures including heart and lung transplants, VADs, ECMO, CABGs, robotic CABGs, conventional valve surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, VATs, robotic lobectomies, general thoracic. Specific duties include performing history and physical examinations and consultations as an adult general internist for both acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting appropriate screening and diagnostic evaluations, providing clinical preventive services, communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans, timely documentation in the electronic health record, coordinating care between EHS and specialists, collaborating with corporate leadership, and participating in health services improvement initiatives. Patient encounters will be completed either in-person or via telehealth. The EHS physician will have 5 clinic sessions per week at our EHS clinics and will provide float coverage at either clinic as needed. There is shared responsibility for night and weekend call among EHS physicians and no clinic sessions on weekends.

The Emory Sleep Center and the Department of Psychiatry are seeking a board certified/board eligible Sleep Medicine physician to join the Emory University faculty.
The candidate will predominantly provide outpatient services in the Emory Sleep Center, providing clinical care to adult sleep disorders patients and interpreting sleep studies. Candidates with special interests in insomnia or the central disorders of hypersomnolence are preferred. Opportunities may be available for candidates with active research portfolios.
The Emory Sleep Center offers outpatient services and home sleep apnea testing at three Emory campuses - 12 Executive Park, Emory Decatur Hospital and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. We manage sleep laboratories at the Executive Park location, Emory Johns Creek, Emory Decatur, and Emory Hillandale. Additionally, we have an in-house durable medical equipment company for PAP. Summary of Duties:

The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics invites interested applicants for a faculty level position in pediatric Hematology Oncology. The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center provides a rich and collaborative environment for basic, clinical, and translational research and boasts a diverse faculty. These physicians will care for hematology and oncology patients during the night, including patients receiving chemotherapy.
Our nocturnists work collaboratively with residents and other specialists to admit children requiring hematology/oncology care, take nurse calls, offering after-hours expertise in managing the complex illnesses that children with cancer and blood disorders develop.
Our nocturnists staff the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center inpatient units for 13 hours a day, seven days a week. This position will devote effort to inpatient clinical responsibilities from 6:30PM to 7:30AM for a total of 114 shifts/year.
This position is located at Arthur M. Blank Hospital.
Qualified candidates should be Board Certified/Eligible Pediatricians, and preference will be given to applicants with Hematology/Oncology training/experience.

Each year our team cares for more than 170 newly diagnosed leukemia and lymphoma patients using a variety of treatment protocols, including blood and marrow transplant (BMT), hematopoietic stem cell transplant, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T therapy, and Phase I and II clinical trials for patients whose cancer has relapsed or is not responding to treatment
The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center has over 130 faculty and nearly 50 Advance Practice Providers (APPs), conducting basic, translational, cooperative group and investigator-initiated clinical research related to pediatric oncology and hematology disorders, with expertise in leukemias, lymphomas, brain tumors, neuroblastoma, sarcomas, rare tumors, renal tumors, CAR T-cell therapies, cancer survivorship, health services research, hemoglobinopathies and hemophilia.
More than 9,000 children with cancer and blood disorders are treated annually at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center
The Aflac pediatric oncology program sees ~500 new cancer diagnoses each year. Aflac is the pediatric component of the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
The Aflac pediatric hematology program is one of the largest in the country (including >2,000 active patients with sickle cell disease, and >1,000 with bleeding or clotting disorders)
The Aflac blood and marrow transplantation program performs ~80 transplants each year, and is one of the leaders in curative therapies for hemoglobinopathies.
In 2024, Aflac faculty generated $31M in extramural funding, including more than $17M from the NIH
The Aflac fellowship program accepts 6 fellows each year for intensive clinical and research training in pediatric hematology/oncology. We are one of the few pediatric programs with an NIH-funded T32 training grant in non-malignant hematology.
The Aflac Developmental Therapeutics Program includes Leukemia and Lymphoma faculty from the High-Risk Leukemia team and offers a wide portfolio of clinical trials from cooperative groups, industry partners, and investigator-initiated studies, and has a larger referral base in the southeastern United States. Aflac is a member of the COG Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trials Network (PEP-CTN), NANT, TACL, and PBTC.
The MIBG and Relapsed Neuroblastoma Program is the largest in the southeast and has treated ~100 patients with therapeutic MIBG since its inception in 2013.

Responsible for the selection of appropriate equipment and techniques to be used and to ensure the safe management of physiologic functions. Demonstrates competence in the practice of perfusion through an understanding of necessary variables: arterial blood gases, hemoglobin level, venous saturation, cardiac index or output, electrolytes, temperature, and urinary output. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.

Active Georgia Pharmacist license.

Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree in nursing
3 years of recent, clinical, medical-surgical nursing experience.
Licensure - All nurses employed in roles requiring an unencumbered nursing license must have a valid, active license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
BLS certification
If completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice, an active compact/multistate license (eNLC) is required within 60 days of hire. Employees in role prior to 11/09/2025 will have until their next renewal date to achieve compact status.
Physical Requirements: (Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally) Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
Environmental Factors: Factors affecting environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, Communicable diseases, Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
