OVERVIEW:
This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial operations within HR, including budget planning and tracking, invoice processing, contract management, and financial forecasting.
In addition to financial responsibilities, this role supports key operational projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives that advance the overall effectiveness of the HR function.
Financial Operations & Strategy:
Manage the HR department's budget, including tracking actuals, reconciling discrepancies, and reporting on variances
Develop and deliver insightful, data-driven reports and dashboards that translate complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights for key stakeholders
Support short- and long-term budget forecasting efforts aligned with business goals
Process and track HR-related invoices, ensuring timely approvals and payments in coordination with the Finance team
Oversee contract lifecycle management for vendors, consultants, and service providers within HR
Partner with Finance and Procurement to ensure alignment of policies, compliance, and controls
Operational Support:
Lead and support operational initiatives within HR, including process design, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
Assist in the development and rollout of new HR programs, tools, and systems
Collaborate with HR team members on cross-functional projects that have financial or operational components
Strategic Projects & Analysis:
Analyze spend and operational efficiency to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or resource optimization
Support annual planning processes, including budget and headcount planning, vendor renewals, and resource allocation
Prepare materials and summaries for HR leadership that support decision-making and strategic planning
Operational Excellence:
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and execute improvement projects
Collaboration and Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing updates and insights on financial operations
Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, HR, or related field
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience with financial planning and analysis
Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking practices
Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently with an elevated level of autonomy and discretion
Must be able to take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve processes and solve problems.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to clearly and concisely present information of a complex nature. This role requires a proactive approach in developing innovative financial and operational solutions to optimize budget processes, improve resource allocation, and streamline collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications Experience:
Three to five years of experience managing budgets, financial planning and analysis
Experience working in Operations or HR function
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

The School of Nursing is looking for a highly organized and relationship-focused Clinical Placement Coordinator to join our team at the Emory Nursing Learning Center. In this role, the Clinical Placement Coordinator will take the lead in building and nurturing partnerships with clinical learning sites, managing student placements, and ensuring compliance with credentialing and affiliation agreements. Acting as a key connector between faculty, students, and clinical partners, the Clinical Placement Coordinator will oversee orientations, maintain critical databases, and manage contract execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop new partnerships with clinical learning sites for use in the nursing programs.

* Conduct or assist with the orientation of nursing students and faculty to clinical site use.

* Facilitate the evaluation process of clinical instructors, sites, and preceptors.
* Coordinate student placements that meet their program requirements and maintain a list of clinical instructors, sites, and preceptors by clinical specialty to remain abreast with our partners.
* Maintains and modifies departmental database, verifying credentials, compliance historical information, etc.
* Collaborate with clinical partners for the review and clearance of rotation requests.
* Provide oversight for all clinical affiliation agreements within the School of Nursing to ensure execution of the agreement, renewals, fee addendums and terms of contracts and short form agreements.
* Collaborates with internal and external stakeholder to execute affiliation agreements.
* Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintains an accurate and up-to-date database of compliance, credentialing, and training requirements for all assigned clinical and community partner sites.
* Coordinates, organizes, and verifies that all clinical site documentation is complete, current, and compliant with institutional and site-specific requirements.
* Demonstrates strong professional communication and customer service skills, effectively supporting stakeholders while remaining calm, flexible, and solution-oriented in high-pressure or rapidly changing situations.
* Utilizes and manages credentialing and compliance platforms such as ACEMAPP, My Clinical Exchange, Symplr, Complio, and similar systems.
* Proficient in administrative and data-management tools, including Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.

Accountabilities
The HumanResources Associate for Benefits is primarily responsible for providing support in the area of benefits administration including leave administration.
Specific Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
* Conduct new hire benefits orientations and follow up to ensure timely receipt of benefit enrollment forms and accurate payroll deductions. Update the online benefits system with enrollments and changes.
* Assist employees and retirees with questions and issues related to insurance plans and leave programs in accordance with HIPAA privacy regulations. Resolve enrollment issues as needed.
* Prepare pension and long-term disability (LTD) eligibility letters and ensure appropriate information is shared for timely payroll deductions.
* Provide support during the annual Benefits Open Enrollment period, including coordinating all aspects of mailings (ordering supplies, envelope preparation, printing requests, web uploads, etc.) and following up with HR staff and employees.
* Assist with processing Paid Family Leave (PFL) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests, including submitting claims, processing correspondence, and tracking leave usage.
* Review monthly benefit plan enrollment reconciliations and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
* Assist with processing Workers' Compensation claims, including filing claims, managing lost-time and benefit payment arrangements for payroll purposes, coordinating with the WC carrier on bill reviews, processing payments, reviewing and paying the NY Hospital surcharge, and tracking claims for reporting and analysis (e.g., OSHA logs and internal reviews).
* Assist with processing disability claims by coordinating timely filing, managing lost-time and benefit payment arrangements for payroll purposes, serving as a liaison between employees and carriers, ensuring follow-up medical documentation is obtained, and providing information regarding long-term disability claims.
* Prepare termination letters as provided by audit reports and submit updates in the online benefits system.
* Assist with processing Work-Related Tuition Benefits, Tuition-Free Courses, and CHEG including distributing forms, preparing approval letters, notifying payroll of classes scheduled during work hours, and tracking and processing reimbursements.

Job Description:
This position reports to the Executive Director of HumanResources with primary responsibility for guidance and support in time and attendance, leave and accommodation administration; student employment; creating and maintaining departmental data and metrics systems, and monitoring and coordinating Freedom of Information Law responses. Assists in HumanResources onboarding, employee recognition services, professional development as well departmental projects. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee. Primary Responsibilities:
Time and Attendance and Leaves and Accommodation Administration:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for time and attendance and leaves for all staff regarding the policies, procedures, and eligibility.
* Ensure accurate and efficient time and leave management for all full-time and part-time employees; and processes and enters transactions into systems supporting time keeping and leave activities. Develop, as appropriate and applicable, informational content for all employees on time and leave management and other HR programs, initiatives and events, as directed.
* Conduct time and leave orientation and training for new hires and supervisors; and provide ongoing support and guidance to employees regarding time and leave inquiries based on the SUNY guidelines, union affiliation, and NYS Civil Service policies and manuals.
* Review, approve and audit timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance with established union agreements and SUNY and government policies. Utilize timekeeping system to monitor and track employee attendance, work hours, leave accruals and utilization, and annual leave balances.

Reporting to the Senior Director of HR Systems and Operations, the HR Data and Systems Specialist will support the day-to-day operations of Hofstra's HR systems and data processes. This role serves as a key liaison with HR staff, campus departments and IT partners to ensure the accuracy and effective use of HR data. The HR Data and Systems Specialist assists with the maintenance of core HR applications (such as time and attendance, paid time off, and the HR Module for the ERP system), generates reports, and assists with ongoing process improvements that enhance efficiency and the employee experience.This is an on-site position, work for this role will be performed on campus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Maintain and support HR systems related to time and attendance, paid time off, and employee data.

The successful candidate must be able to receive customers and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. They should also possess a strong attention to detail.
