The Director of Financial Reporting/Controller directs and oversees financial functions at Emory Healthcare and is key to improving all areas of accounting operations and compliance, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and financial reporting.
This position prepares and maintains accurate maintenance of the general ledger, transactions, and financial management reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, reconciliations and management reports.
This position manages financial accounting functions and data processing, ensuring accounting procedures are being followed utilizing GAAP/FASB.
This position manages internal controls designed to mitigate risk, protect assets, and support the financial infrastructure of the Emory Healthcare system and in connection with the university.
This position manages EHC asset and liability accounts; ensures proper accounting methodology, techniques, policies and reconciliations.
This position supports tax reporting and compliance to include federal, state, and local tax compliance.
This position partners to support a culture of continuous improvement and demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment where needs change and solutions need to be flexible.
This position creates a cohesive work team that works collaboratively across the EHC partners to achieve EHC's financial goals and mission.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping to advance our strategic priorities:
1.) ensuring financial reports reconcile to the system of record
2.) partners with the business operations to improve processes and procedures for accurate and timely and timely financial reporting
3.) ensuring regulatory and state reporting is completed accurately, timely and reconciles to the system of record
4.) ensuring all financial accounting entries are recorded in the system of record accurately and timely
5.) providing leadership, ongoing feedback and management, to advance and develop our team members.
The Director of Financial Reporting/Controller will specialize in the following strategic areas of focus: Special Projects/Process Improvement EHC Consolidations Cash and Accounts Receivable with Division reporting Fixed Assets and Leased Assets with Division reporting Liabilities and Debt with Division reporting Payroll and Benefits with Division reporting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Ten years of related experience, including three years in hospital or health care finance; supervisory experience and managed care experience.
Preferred: Ten (10) years of financial analysis or accounting experience, revenue cycle experience, business planning experience, and knowledge of clinical service lines; MBA, Masters in Finance, MHA, CPA.

Coordinates development of analysis, surveys and reports for Emory Healthcare.

This program will connect you with experienced professionals through on-the-job training . You will work alongside industry experts in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This is a ten-week program running from early June to mid-August in person in our offices in New York City.
At TD Securities, Municipals (comprised of Public Finance Banking, Municipal Sales & Trading, and Automated Trading) function within Global Markets as an integral part of the full suite of services we provide. The Public Finance team covers all sectors within the municipal finance space such as state and local governments, infrastructure, power and utilities, higher education, housing, not-for-profit health care and transportation and assists clients in analyzing and issuing various offerings of municipal securities. The Municipal Sales and Trading and Automated Trading teams are active market-makers and one of the largest liquidity providers in the muni market, covering trades of all sizes from micro-lots to big blocks. Following training, this unique program provides summer analysts with two rotations spanning approximately 4 weeks each with the banking and sales and trading teams.
The Muni team interacts frequently with other areas of the Bank, including: Debt Capital Markets, Credit Management, Market Risk Solutions, Sustainable Finance, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Global & US Fixed Income Sales and Trading.
As a summer analyst, you will:
Work with seasoned Public Finance bankers and Municipal Sales & Trading professionals and acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Full Time Analyst in the municipal finance space.
Provide analytical, research, and transactional support to the Public Finance team, while assisting in the preparation of cash flow modeling and other financial analysis in connection with potential or live capital markets financings. You will also assist bankers in the preparation of proposals and pitch books for prospective and current clients detailing firm capabilities and financing solutions.
Gain exposure to the sales and trading of municipal securities and new issue underwriting by shadowing our team of industry veterans. Learn how to price municipal bonds and how to hedge and manage risk. Develop an understanding of the various market participants (dealers, customers, brokers, etc.) and how to effectively communicate and engage with them.
Learn about algorithmic trading, portfolio trading, ETF creations/redemptions by interacting with TDSAT (TD Securities Automated Trading).
Have the ability to take ownership on assigned tasks and projects, managing assignments through successful completion.
Stay fully informed on market data and trends, economic information, and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards. You will also learn to develop and maintain relationships with market participants including lawyers, financial advisors and issuing clients.
Mentorship and Networking
The internship will include a formal mentorship with employees who will act as a career guide for navigating your experience at TD Securities and beyond. Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to engage in a Senior Speaker Series designed to familiarize participants with the workings of Global Markets as well as our Corporate & Investment Banking, Equity Research, and Business Operations divisions. Summer Analysts will also be able to participate in social networking events with one-another as well as employees of the Firm to experience our culture and assimilate into our Firm.
Hands-on Experience
This is an opportunity to experience our unique culture, work on a fast-paced trading floor, attend client meetings, and build fundamental skills. You will be working with individuals across the floor to understand different aspects of Global Markets, ultimately leading to a final presentation designed to showcase critical thinking skills and increase professional presence (ie: final trade presentation).
QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a (4) year university or college degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. For individuals whose work authorization is or will be based on F-1 optional practical training, your degree or anticipated degree must be in a qualifying STEM program, as reflected on your Form I-20. This role is not suitable for individuals who are ineligible for a STEM OPT extension.

Responsibilities
Trading Floor Exposure: Gain broad exposure to 30+ trading desks across Fixed Income, Equity, and Commodities.
Risk Analysis: Calculate value-at-risk (VaR) figures for client trading strategies and analyze desk hedging strategies.
Market Insights: Witness firsthand the trading of global capital flows and understand trades implemented by Hedge Funds, Insurers, Pensions, and Corporate Accounts.
Strategy Support: Analyze risk exposures and contribute to the day-to-day functioning of Capital Markets.

The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. Job Summary
Develop and maintain standard reports for various lanes of funding between MCG and Wellstar MCG Health via legal CAPSA/REPSA agreements. Reconcile budgets and expenditures on a monthly basis to ensure MCG is following contractual obligations with Wellstar. Utilize said reporting to monitor expenditures compared to latest approved CAPSA/REPSA agreements and correct any billing errors. Review data and ensure expenditures in PeopleSoft does not exceed the documented agreements. Assist the Manager of MCG Financial Operations with handling day-to-day financial transactions that impact MCG as well as budget creation and reconciliation. This position will also manage various database reconciliations including the WIA eligibility process, mileage and APRN reimbursements, and faculty recruitment expenses. Given the ever-changing structure and financial picture of MCG, this position will assist in creating and maintaining new financial reporting for the college.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Maintain standard reports for all lanes of funding between MCG and Wellstar MCG Health via the CAPSA/REPSA agreements. This will include but not limited to the Professional Services Agreement (PSA), GME, Outside Contracting, MAS, numerous REPSA exhibits [3.08(a)], Missions funding & state-allocated dollars utilizing all systems needed to collect and report data (PeopleSoft, Workday, CPSC, etc.) The target audience is MCG and Wellstar MCG Health administrators. Under direction from the Manager of MCG Financial Operations, develop reports and processes to advance the monitoring capabilities for the funds flow between Wellstar MCG Health and MCG. Collaborate with Wellstar MCG Finance team to gain efficiencies.
Monitor and balance PeopleSoft budget/expenses to ensure departments are not able to expend more than the department's allocations and/or income generated through the funds flow in PeopleSoft financials. Work with clinical department leadership to submit PeopleSoft budget adjustments as needed to align with the funds flow agreements. Review and monitor payroll distributions to ensure they align with the exhibit data. The CAPSA and REPSA agreements include reporting and monitoring of $200+ million. Monitoring budgets and reconciling expenses on a monthly basis is a critical function to ensure MCG stays within the contractual agreements.
Manages internal MCG financial processes including WIA payments, APRN and mileage reimbursements, and faculty recruitment reimbursement payments.
Assist with maintaining annual and ongoing CAPSA and REPSA exhibit updates. This includes assisting with the creation of the Board approved agreements every fiscal year and making amendments where necessary.
Assist Manager of MCG Financial Operations with day-to-day financial duties relating to both MCG and GCC. Duties include reviewing/approving budget amendments, funding distribution ePARs, payroll/NPS cost transfers, negative budget corrections, and reconciliations.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 annually (20 hours/week), based on experience and qualifications.

Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Director of Budgets and Institutional Analysis, the FinancialAnalyst will provide analytical and systems support to Milton Academy budget managers across campus, including advising budget managers on best practices for managing their budgets. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining, training, and troubleshooting several of the key financial systems and tools used within the organization. Working closely with the Director of Budgets, Controller, and Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO), the analyst will provide data and recommendations to drive school-related decision making. This role provides an exciting opportunity to understand the school's financial model and meaningfully contribute to the financial budgeting and planning process in a dynamic educational environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Support the annual budget process
Budget planning: Manage deadlines and system set up
Budget distribution: Update blackbaud reporting for the new fiscal year and distribute historical data and budget templates to budget managers based on the budget calendar
Tracking: Monitor and respond to budget questions on the Accountview email site
Follow up: Send reminders, gather and track responses
Monitor the Accountview email for any requests for budget changes and adjustments to actuals. Make budget adjustments and journal entries as needed.
Analyze prior or prospective spending and articulate the implications.
Monitor budget vs actual performance for the departments as well as each School and provide insights to the financial management team.
Coordinate meetings with large departments to review budgets and spending
Complete the annual ABOPS expense survey.
Support contract assessment and provide financial and analytical support to decision makers.
Manage the completion of external surveys, including review and submission.
Maintain Financial system (Blackbaud) set up, reporting, and technical troubleshooting.
Maintain the School's Amazon business account, adding users and troubleshooting issues.
Provide maintenance for the business office site in Veracross.
Oversee school memberships to professional organizations, including user administration and budgeting for all membership-related expenses (e.g., AISNE, NBOA).
Other analysis and duties as assigned.

Education/Certification/Licensure
Required: A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field
Preferred: A master's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field
Experience
Required: A minimum of three years of proven experience in Finance or Accounting
Preferred: Knowledge of independent boarding / day schools -or-
Knowledge of education-related budgeting
