Richard J. BJC is the largest provider of charity care, unreimbursed care and community benefit in Missouri, providing more than $800.8 million in financial assistance, education of health professionals, safety net services and community outreach programs. BJC’s patients have access to the latest advances in medical science and technology through a formal affiliation between BJC and the renowned Washington University School of Medicine, which consistently ranks among the top medical schools in the country. BJC’s community and rural hospitals are also regularly recognized for excellence. Liekweg joined BJC HealthCare in 2009 as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital and group president for BJC HealthCare.
